It's ironic. Flaggys all for profiling Muslims at airports, but not for tea partiers when it comes to tax evasion.
I get the outrage, but I also get where the IRS is coming from, too (just as i fully get the reasons to single out a 20-something male instead of granny at airport security) . These groups were applying for tax exempt status as a social welfare group with limited political activity. Maybe I'm misinformed, but when I think of the tea party, I think first and foremost of political activity. If they're really expanding the tea party brand to charity, then good for them.[/QUOT
I assume you would extend that same tolerant view of using the IRS to intimidate political opponents to Richard Nixon and his enemies list.
