Climate change is reality. It's happened for millions of years and will continue to happen. The degree of humanity's affect on it, and if there is anything we can do to slow or halt its progress, is what is up for debate.

Warmism is a religion. Those who adhere to its precepts are Warmists. Ironically, just a few years ago, many of the most devout Warmists were equally devout Coldists. They really ought to make up their minds, so they can make up mine.

Pio should really learn a new trick, projection of his every fault onto others only gets more and more sad over time.

In Pios defense, 1,000 years or so ago, they were farming in Greenland and growing grapes in Newfoundland. Earlier last century they were not.

There is also evidence that the English Channel was higher @ the time of the Norman Invasion.

Climate is cyclic. I was never a fan of Chicken Little.

Most plant life evolved with higher concentrations of CO[SUB]2[/SUB] in the atmosphere than we have today. Commercial growers often put extra CO[SUB]2[/SUB] in their greenhouses to promote plant growth. CO[SUB]2[/SUB] may not lead to AGW after all if it is absorbed by plants and converted to oxygen instead. Excellent article in last Thursday's Wall St Journal about the botany involved and why the supposed global warming trend has "paused" for the past two decades.

Obama apparently doesn't know that the IRS isn't part of his partisan political operation. Not surprising that the President presides over an IRS that has now taken on a partisan tone, as he's not a President that tolerates disent with his views well. The decay of the federal government continues.

I am having trouble locating who exactly "they" are. Are they warmist or coldist? If they were devout, how could they change so readily? This smells like a no true Scotsman fallacy ;)

Google is of no help. I smell conspiracy. Funny that Gore and Google both start with a G.

Warmist, obviously. The coldists were only able to get credits in states (NY does not charge state sales tax on clothing under $110, but the counties still do).

From an AP report:

"Shulman was appointed by President George W. Bush, a Republican. His 6-year term ended in November. President Barack Obama has yet to nominate a successor."

Yeah, **** that Obama administration...

From the same AP article: "There has been a surge of politically active groups claiming tax-exempt status in recent elections - conservative and liberal. Among the highest profile are Republican Karl Rove's group Crossroads GPS and the liberal Moveon.org.

These groups claim tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (4) of the federal tax code, which is for social welfare groups. Unlike other charitable groups, these organizations are allowed to participate in political activities, but their primary activity must be social welfare."

I'd be fine with all political groups having to pay taxes. They're not social welfare groups regardless of their persuasion.
