Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

From an AP report:

"Shulman was appointed by President George W. Bush, a Republican. His 6-year term ended in November. President Barack Obama has yet to nominate a successor."

Yeah, **** that Obama administration...

There are some people that put professional obligations over personal partisanship. It's possible that he was ordered to do it, or even worse, kissing rear in order to try to keep his job, similar to Bernanke.

It's also possible that he was a Martian. A lot of things are possible.

Honest question - is RationalWiki supposed to be the liberal answer to Conservapedia?

It's sad that the left has to create an answer to right-wing stuff, when all they have to do is re-purpose their left-wing propaganda.

WikiPedia is the liberal answer to Conservapedia. As we all know, facts have a known liberal bias.

That's because you call anything said by a liberal a "fact", and anything by a conservative an "opinion".

No, there are plenty of liberals who have opinions.

Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

Rumours have a funny way of becoming "fact" in the mainstream if they're repeated enough. Doesn't mean they're true.

Tell Faux News and the echo machine that.

In a way...yes. It also has a very "secular" leaning and a lot of the pages are written with a touch of comedy (at least to some).

Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

As usual, the comments section is even more entertaining than the story.

Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

From the same AP article: "There has been a surge of politically active groups claiming tax-exempt status in recent elections - conservative and liberal. Among the highest profile are Republican Karl Rove's group Crossroads GPS and the liberal Moveon.org.

These groups claim tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (4) of the federal tax code, which is for social welfare groups. Unlike other charitable groups, these organizations are allowed to participate in political activities, but their primary activity must be social welfare."

I'd be fine with all political groups having to pay taxes. They're not social welfare groups regardless of their persuasion.

Yet only conservative groups have been targeted by Richard Milhouse Obama's IRS. I'm shocked. Keep on defending the indefensible, it really helps your reputation.

Of course, it's Bush's fault. What a maroon.

Is this the same echo chamber that claimed a video caused Benghazi?

----

DOJ seized, without warrant, two months worth of phone records in 2012 from the associated press... Stupid dumb conservatives... don't they know the hazards of a national run on popcorn sales.

/grabs popcorn

Hoo boy... Fun times to be defending the dominant culture. :D
