Yeah, its gotten pretty ridiculous, but my addiction is still there. It was so much better before they started taking all the liberties with the real-time format. Now Jack Bauer can travel anywhere within New York City and get there in 5 minutes. Anyone else on the show, it could take 30-60 minutes. That gets old.
But like you said, even if they brought it back next year and the storyline was zombie David Palmer posing an imminent threat to national security, I'd still watch.
I agree. About 3 days too long. I'd probably watch day 9 no matter what, though

Not me - I've finally broken free from the Bauer curse - of course it doesn't much matter since this is the last season anyway. And frankly, I'll say good riddance - not to 24 itself, but to what it has become: a predictable show that relied on at least one mole in a government agency each season and that got away from its real-time nature - one of the original characteristics of the show.
And besides, if anyone is coming back as a zombie, it had better be Edgar.

how did that marine get out of the closet when jack locked him in right before hassan gave himself up?
how did the terrorists get that girl/guy set up in the parking garage within minutes of finding out that CTU was following them?
why wouldnt jack cut the video feed after he saw hussan was dead so that atleast it didnt air over the internet?

And the biggest duh of last night --- how in hell did Dana get a gun AND an extra clip? And how did she become such an expert markswoman to cap two guards with two shots?

I would have loved it if the President would have lived, she gets immunity and then Jack pulls a *Mitch Rapp at the end of the season, tracking her down in some far way place and capping her.
*Mitch Rapp is a CIA super-spy/terrorist killer in Vince Flynn novels.

Couple of things about last night:
BUT....the trailer at the end had Jack and Renee looking like someone was going to get sexed up.....now THAT is something to look forward to!!!!
Couple of things about last night:
- A silent clock for President Hassan -- really? Tony, definitely; Edgar, yeah; but I don't know about this one.
- Didn't really set up the next conflict real well. OK, Hassan's dead and the bomb has been recovered. You could guess that Taylor's going after the IRK and the Russians maybe involved in this general plot, but this transition of threats didn't go very smoothly. Feeling a little buzzkill here; what's next?

I'd say the Russians are about to get thrown back into the mix heavily here. The Russian guy talking to Taylor was no accident. Hassan deserved the silent clock for what's gone on in the day and what he was there to represent as far as the IRK and the peace process. Besides, it was nice to see a foreign leader on the show that wasn't trying to destroy America for once.
I'd say the Russians are about to get thrown back into the mix heavily here. The Russian guy talking to Taylor was no accident. Yeah, Dana having a gun doesn't seem surprising since she knew there was a chance she might have to make a quick getaway, and if she was a mercenary being paid to infiltrate CTU then it makes sense that she would know how to use it.

For some reason I thought the show was almost done - but I just checked on the 24 website, this season started at 4:00PM - 8 more hours to go!
