24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

Re: 24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

Played by the same guy who plays Lost's Horace Goodspeed.

And Katee Sackhoff is not pretty. She had a little something going as Starbuck, but she's just not attractive in the least.

Red on the other hand has some serious badass going on. Look what you've created, Jack Bauer.

the head russian baddie was the banker in da vinci who was stupid enough to get beat up by the truck door and tom hanks.... that kinda stuff hurts you going forward.

who's she?? (sack) - the iranian president's daughter?!?! (that's who i mentioned earlier). not too many hotties. the trailer trash bimbo at ctu is *bleh*. good for 2:01a at a bar, but outside of that.... the reporter looks like tracy lords (is it?!?!). not for me.

Re: 24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

I'm not worried, I'm sure he'll get plenty mad. I mean, he slipped back into "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR? TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!" mode pretty easily with that informant guy.

Yeah that was like flipping on a light switch. I can just imagine him at a restaurant:

Jack Bauer: I want a cheeseburger with fries.
Waitress: I'm sorry sir, we're out of fries.
Jack Bauer: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE OUT OF FRIES!?! TELL ME WHERE THE FRIES ARE!!!
Waitress: Well, we do have potato salad.
Jack Bauer: Oh OK, that will be lovely. And could I also get a side salad?

Played by the same guy who plays Lost's Horace Goodspeed.
Wow, I would NEVER have picked him out without the long hair.

He was also a bad guy on the short lived NBC drama "Kidnapped" with Jeremy Sisto and Mykelti Williamson, aka current CTU Director Brian Hastings.

Chloe's turned into a real aggressive beeyotch. Nice smug look on her face when the president admitted banging the reporter.

Chloe is more of a whiny child than usual in this season. Bring back Morris! :D

And another thing, the Iranian president's hair kinda bothers me, and the first time I saw him I immediately thought "I didn't know that Judd Nelson and Luis Guzman had a love child."

Something about the voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it with the accent. Then I saw his name in the credits for the next episode.

On Lost he seemed familiar so I looked him up on IMDB. He played a few parts in the 80's as a young guy that I remembered, in the Andrew McCarthey/Molly Ringwald flick Fresh Horses, and in a movie called The Chocolate War.

Also played Eugene Tooms on the X-Files.

I remember seeing that, but don't recall him. Cancelled real quick, from what I recall.

Heh. That's excellent, but I would've gone with "TELL ME WHERE THE STARCH IS!"

Looks like Vladimir is another of my favorite actors, Callum Keith Rennie.

He and Katee can have BSG old home week.

I also like how they have picked up some guys from Great Canceled cop shows. Captain/Councilman Acevada from The Shield as the informant and Herc from The Wire as the cop giving Jack a beating.

Re: 24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

I did deliver the line "Let me axe you a question" when that happened.

Everyone thought it was hilarious, although in the interest of full disclosure, I was alone in my apartment at the time.

i hate you so much

Re: 24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

I'm not sure if anybody watched the short-lived ABC cop show The Unusuals, which starred (among others) Adam Goldberg and Harold Perrineau, but the "law enforcement agent living under an assumed name receives an unwanted visit from a mysterious person from a shadowy past" plotline involving Katee Sackhoff's character is completely ripped from that show.

Yes, I did watch that show, and yes I had exactly the same thought. Although it's not like The Unusuals originated that plotline. It was also in Battlestar Galactica (speaking of Katee Sackhoff), in the episode where we find out Kat is not really Kat. Of course that episode also had Edward James Olmos's real-life son puking on the flight deck.

Fox.

This was on last night? I looked in my guide and totally missed it. Guess I'll be watching online too.

Re: 24 - Day 8 - Jack Bauer Takes on NYC

It would have been better if the terror attack started with the hijacking of the plane that Jack was on from NY to LA, killing his entire family, (cold, I know) but a ****ed off Jack makes for a good season rather than the I'm-retired-but-I'm-doing-this-for-the-good-of-the-country Jack.

I bet he gets ****ed off about something sometime this season.

Fox shows are on Hulu, aren't they? I thought they were, anyway.
