2025 Bracketology: The Road to Utica!

It was a #15 beating a #2.

Bentley is #16 and plays #1 Boston College.

Having said that, great win for Cornell! My brother-in-law and nephew are very happy, I'm sure.

Cornell is good. They had a ton of injuries during the season. They were not a typical #15 seed.
I was referencing USCHO Rankings not tournament seeding.

D1 Tournament shocker as #16 Cornell beats #1 Michigan State 4-3 with winning goal in last 10 seconds. The East is taking it to the West in college hockey this year.
Mike Shafer ain't done yet! Hey, the Nexus Center looks nicer than the Aud. That's where the 2017 D3 Frozen Four should've been held.

I made my second semifinal pick over in the Utica thread. Here's my first semifinal pick:

Geneseo has been schizophrenic down the stretch and through the playoffs, scoring rapidly in bunches but also falling back on their heels for long periods. That won’t work against an extremely disciplined, and national playoff experienced, Hobart team.

Now, off to Utica on the "wonderful" NYS Thruway.

There are plenty of other bars/restaurants in town who could have done the same and chose not to.
I’m not disagreeing with that but, just making statement. I’m sure other places will be watching games. Official places just happen to belong to Robbie

Safe travels to everyone coming to Utica, and good luck to all four teams. Hopefully everyone can enjoy some great hockey, some great Utica food and beverage.

Congratulations to Utica on a hard fought OT win over a great Curry team. See you Sunday....hey we kinda like the Nexus, nice "neutral site";)

So, I missed the Hobart ticket dump and had to go on public tix and that seemed to be already gone at 12:01. I can carry the typewriter into the Nexus for a journalist for a ticket?

The official attendance for the first game was 1,600. Which is capacity. Okay.

The official attendance for the second semifinal game was 2,179. Oooookaaaaay. Even if you account for the suites which may not count towards the official ticket capacity, I don't think they can hold an additional 579 people...

It looked like a few empty seats on the video feed. I would have said the standing room along the rails would have been the best

There was well more than 400 people standing.

Maybe this is unfair to say about a great program, but Geneseo is starting to feel like the Buffalo Bills of DIII hockey. Great program and great culture. Great coaching and very talented all stars. Often win the division and go deep in the playoffs. But just can’t get over the hump and win the big one. So frustrating.
