We were ther last mont for a concert at the Stanley and went to the Saranac Brewery (Utica Club) tour. Nice time but not a lot of parking.OOPs , got the name wrong, Saranac Brewery, owned by the Matt family (Hobart Family)
What is parking like at Nexus facility,? We'll be going over from Saranac Brewery. We were ther last mont for a concert at the Stanley and went to the Saranac Brewery (Utica Club) tour. Nice time but not a lot of parking.
Parking is awesome for the Nexus facility, IMO. Behind the complex (opposite side from Oriskany Ave) there is a new, paved, lighted parking lot stretching from east of the (Utica University) Nexus Center west to just behind the Aud. The lot serves the UUNC better than for the Aud as one often has to walk past the UUNC to get to the back door of the Aud. Parking for the early game should be no problem. However, for the later game the lots will also have folks parking for the indoor kickball game happening in the AUD.What is parking like at Nexus facility,? We'll be going over from Saranac Brewery.
"Tickets to Sunday’s national championship game will go on sale to the general public at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 29th. Tickets will be available ONLINE ONLY for the national championship."So when do tickets for the Final on Sunday go on sale?
Good friend of mine said that SRO tickets were gone by 12:01.Utica game sold out within 10 minutes
We NEVER park in either lot. It can take forever to exit them.Parking is awesome for the Nexus facility, IMO. Looks like a really nice rink but wow that’s definitely on the smaller side for a tournament. Couldn’t imagine how much of a pain it was to get tickets for it (hope everyone here managed). Still should be a really good one to watch online.Looks like the nexus center main rink is a pretty nice setup. Very bright lighting. Video board and plenty of standing room up top. Plus looks like a bar/restaurant on the end.
And don't forget about going to one of the oldest pizza shops in the USA...O'scugnizzos for Utica upside down pizza! It's a square pizza. My favorite is the sausage pizza. Sausage is spread thin across the entire shell. Cheese is on top of the sausage. It gets baked without the sauce. Once fully baked, they take it out, sauce it, parm/romano on it, box it and cut it. WIngs are decent there too. It's not that far from the Nexus Center.

I grew up in Yorkville near the previous mentioned Holland Farms and Venice Pizza....they are great spots for sure.
Additional places to add to what was mentioned before.....Symeons on commercial drive in Yorkville for Greek Food
Michael T's in New Hartford for Italian Food
Ventura's in Utica for Italian Food (it gets into the edge of a semi/sketchy area, but an original location Italian restaurant)

Good ole Robbie Esche needed more money for his cash cow, and his other addictions and hit UU up for 150,000 for naming rights. The place was supposed to be paid for with some tax payer money and some of bed tax money collected from those that come and stay in hotels.I'm slightly confused the nexus center is the permanent rink for the Utica women's hockey team. It's literally called the Utica University nexus center. Is that not a campus site?? When they say campus site does it explicitly say it has to be the men's team site?? It makes perfect sense to me why they choose it over the ira.
The Celtic Harp across the street is a nice place to have a drink or two as well. And if you’d like a slice of pizza before heading over to Nexus you can stop at Lukins just down the street from the Harp.OOPs , got the name wrong, Saranac Brewery, owned by the Matt family (Hobart Family)
There are plenty of other bars/restaurants in town who could have done the same and chose not to.it’s also been post that live watch parties are being held at 72 Tavern and Babe’s for Utica fans. Conveniently owned and operating by Robbie…
It was a #15 beating a #2.D1 Tournament shocker as #16 Cornell beats #1 Michigan State 4-3 with winning goal in last 10 seconds. The East is taking it to the West in college hockey this year.
