JFC. The Blitz Primary memo that's circulating was co-written by Ted Dintersmith, a former venture capitalist who now is "re-imagining" education (i.e. has zero background in politics.)
I don't need yet another rich white guy with NO EXPERIENCE WINNING ELECTIONS who thinks he's smarter than everyone else to tell the Democrats how to do anything.

Not to mention the memo has nothing to say about how they'd overcome any GOP legal challenges.

We already had a primary. We chose Biden Harris!

I don’t think the “stay the course” proponents are panicking enough about Biden’s chances.

as of right now, in my opinion, Biden is going to get crushed in all the important swing states. Supposedly the polling is making Pelosi panic and she’s calling other politicians to get them to put pressure on Biden.

Pelosi isn't panicking about polling. She is panicking her money dried up from Hollywood.

Replacing Biden is not a thing. You are advocating subverting the will of the voters. There is no time for this a contested convention will be worse electorally than even your worst Biden projection. You will split the base at best. And if they oust Harris (they will) you will see every coalition revolt.

Polling changes. He is the nominee screw with that and it's a guarantee we lose.

You don't protect democracy by being anti-democratic. We can't redo the Primaries. That makes us no better than the GOP.

Edit: I get the fear...but polling hasn't moved in weeks despite negative press aplenty. Trump has gained zilch. You would be handing him a massive advantage.

I'll say 70-30 Biden steps down. I have no more info than the rest of the Great Unwashed, except perhaps knowing a lot more Dem staffers and policy people who can read the room and really want him to.

Assuming there is no way to avoid Harris, we lean into it heavily, and have her choose her veep. And pray for Bashear or Pete.

No one is changing their vote; the election will hinge on turnout. The Left is in it to win, so you shore up blacks, women, and whatever derp belt whites remain to take PA, MI, and WI. You have to avoid Shapiro because he costs you the Muzzies and MI.

It is possible women's rights is enough. The ticket has to be screaming about choice every day and twice on Sundays. Make this a one issue election for everyone who doesn't watch Fox. We greatly outnumber the fasc, but it doesn't matter if we don't come out.

I would will bet the mortgage against you. (Hypothetically of course)If he was stepping down he would have done it when he got COVID and things looked most dour. He and his staff have never wavered (despite the media and their "sources") and his Veep has made no effort to even attempt to plan her campaign. She comes out hard for Biden at all stops as does Pete. Biden has the vast majority of tbe party backing him and even the Old White Brigade are cracking.

There was never any there there...this whole thing was manufactured by people who wanted him and Harris gone. (And some clowns like Phillips and Schmidt) There is no mechanism to make that happen and with Tim Walz as head of rules there was going to be no shenanigans. The second the Congressional Black Caucus and AOC went public the goose was cooked. They also underestimated the backlash from the actual voters most of whom were against this even in polling.

He just got a $56B compensation package. He could give $45M/month to the GOP for the next 103 years, and not touch the money he had prior to that. Actually it's infinite, because GOP policies will allow him to steal $45M/month.

And according to SCOTUS, spending is protected speech.

The good news is this is going make the French Revolution look like a Unitarian committee meeting.

Yeah it's going to get bad. If there is an open convention it assured the Dems lose and tbe people riot.
 
Damn…well, what I said before stands true, which is I’ll vote blue no matter who. We can only hope Biden stepping down means he becomes Cincinnatus, as Kepler predicted, and not LBJ.
