I'm sure they have the appeal ready to file. My only question is whether they also ask for reassignment, when the appeals court reverses this absurd decision.

Won't work. She went after the procedure, not the indictment itself. The Supreme Court will side with her. Or, Trump will be elected and it will all just go away.
She did, but the appeals court won't agree with her and (hopefully) will reassign it.
It won't matter anyway, because with this weekend's events, Trump is almost assured to win in November and that will be that.
The American Experiment was fun while it lasted.

And it doesn't matter if it is not an absolute majority (which it is not), how can this country survive when such a sizeable minorty are -- quite literally -- part of the MAGA cult? This isn't The People's Temple, or Heavens Gate, this is tens upon tens of millions of Americans. Even if we win elections, it isn't like we're going to round THEM up and put them in camps somewhere. Remember, when they go low, we go high. We're already seeing that. The expressions of sympathy and good will for trump are enough to make me sick. He and his followers are the reason Saturday happened. It is all on him and on them.

Sometimes I think people here actually thought at some point trump was going to be held accountable. In fact he never was going to be held accountable. Remember, when they go low we go high. Better aim by some loser incel is the only thing that would have held him accountable. Trump will die of natural causes (or as natural as it gets for an old fat f uc k who eats a lot of fast food) in a country he destroyed. If the rest of the world is lucky, it will just be those of us in the United States doing most of the suffering.

Stop. People thinking like that is what is getting us in this mess. If you think people are all of a sudden going to side with Trump because someone he represents shot him then you are as lost as the media is.
LGBTQ+ are not switching their vote. Minorities are not switching their vote. Women are not switching their vote. Independents who hate his lying aren't going to switch their vote.
Even if he somehow gives a more subtle speech at the convention do you think he is going to do that at his rallies? He friggin can't! If he appears soft his own base will start to turn on him. They hold up signs and wear shirts with his mugshot saying "Never Surrender". They are going to do the same with his fist bump after he cut himself shaving too. Sooner or later (I am still guessing in a few days) he will double down and ratchet up the rhetoric. His ego won't let him do otherwise. You think people are going to be ok with that?
They want you to believe its over because people who do don't fight. They know the only way they win is if we stay home...and at this point the only way we do that is through despair. So stop navel gazing and stay phucking angry. If we fight we win.
