I just woke up...but seeing no headlines from the media mentioning that the kid was a Republican is very disconcerting. They should be salivating over the fact that right before the RNC a Republican shot the Republican nominee. This stuff blows "Dems in Disarray" right out of the water. This is a better story than the GOP and their inability to run the House of Representatives. This is easy ratings/clicks and more money. I did see it in smaller or local outfits but that is it. To be fair, it might be smart of them to wait until they know the motive to speculate...they don't want another Pelosi rumor circulating and being linked to them. They would not show the same grace if the guy was a lefty though...

We will see...a normal human or even just a decent politician would turn this into a pivot point. A time to show a bit of humility and act like maybe you learned a lesson. Be a human. (like Biden was after he heard about it) People like Trump can't do that...just like he couldn't when he got COVID. He doubled down and became more unhinged. (and risked the lives of many in his inner circle) I think when he gives his "The Hand of God Protects The Fuhrer" speech at the RNC (an RNC that will make sure to say parts of but not the name of Project 2025) the same people who hated Trump 2 days ago will hate him just as much. Hell, I would put the odds at 3-1 that if the guy supported Nikki Haley he names her as being responsible along with all RINOs and Crooked Joe. Not that I am going to watch...

I do not see her keeping her job very long.

It appears Reuters put the "registered Republican" in the lead sentence. My guess is Trump gets today for sympathy (not that I will watch...im done with MSM outside of clips here and there) and then Monday Morning it is business as usual.

The reason people think it looks fake is because it legit does. (it isn't) The bullet grazed his ear and he went down on his own and the Secret Service helped him up encircled him, let him have enough time to chant and salute the crowd then get him to a vehicle without all due speed and get out of there. You know how it looks in the movies when someone takes a shot at the President...slow it down by at least 1/3 and that is how it looked. Plus, there is at least one witness who saw the kid on the roof, told the cops and no one did a thing. The kid was 400 feet away.

The fact that the kid was a 2A loving Republican is not helping.

He kept talking toward and turning to his right (direction of the shooter) and grabbed hold of the podium to brace himself prior to the shots fired. He put his hand to his ear and when he brought it back down it was bloody.

Secret Service did a good job to surround him and get him down, but he fought with them to stare toward the wide angle camera centered on the podium and fist pump. State Police / SWAT patrolled the stage slowly scanning the crowd and surroundings.

SS, I assume after getting word the shooter was downed, then get Trump up in the huddle and move him off stage and toward his black SUV. At the foot of the stage, a NYTimes photographer snapped next month's Time Magazine cover photo. With Trump *again* fist pumping and working the crowd, bloody ear, and fighting the SS agents who are fighting to keep him moving.

Then, once he gets to the SUV, as they try to throw Fat Nixon in the back, he *once again* fights with agents to throw a couple fist pumps to the crowd.

It reeked of the WWE, all that was missing was the SUV blowing up so we could eulogize him during next weeks Smackdown...





To answer the other questions, yes SS unalived the shooter. Shooter took multiple shots as one person in the crowd was killed. I'm not a forensics analyst, but it appeared the shooter was on a roof neighboring the property and didn't draw attention from the SS until after the shots were fired.

When it happened, and the Q-style conspiracies started showing up on my feed I said "you can never say the chances are 0% but at best it is .1% a false flag or a set up" because I never buy into that stuff. It is mostly people coping with how the real world is a place where mistakes happen and stupidity leads to weird outcomes. (the Secret Service response in this case) When the story first circulated he was a Republican kid wearing 2A militia stuff I upped it to 5% because now things fit a little better. If we find out this was some Qanon freak ...well then even I will have to give it serious credence.

Ironic this happened only a handful of days after the Trumper running for Governor of North Carolina said "some people need to be killed" when talking about liberals. What are the chances that crazy loonbat is going to take that back?

I will take issue with "Secret Service did a good job to surround him". They most certainly did not. And it doesn't matter if the shooter is down that doesn't mean the threat is over. They should have been whisking him out of there.

The rest of what you said was on point though. It kind of reminded me of when wrestlers do huge bumps off the ringpost and you can tell the guys on the ground that are going to get hit are in position to catch them and make it look good. That is how SS looked when they held him up for the photo op. I think one of the pictures actually shows one of the SS agents smiling which is likely just bad luck on the shot but still was a bit jarring. Honestly wrestling would have made it look less fake.
