The media always fails but this is nuts. Whenever the violence is against a dem, no one calls on GOP to do anything or issue joint statements. But they’re calling for Biden to do so

The Right always dictates the narrative. And somehow the left, and the left's own media just allows it to happen. Better ratings I suppose.
 
If they had any nerve, Democrats in Congress would dust off one of the old gun control bills, rename it the Trump Assassination Protection (TRAP) and make Republicans argue against it.

They all laughed when he got hit with the hammer. I saw one of the Trumpanzee's I know on Facebook so upset that people were laughing about this that he was asking everyone who thought it was funny to unfriend him.

My reaction has been the same as it would have been if it had been a Democrat. And that reaction was? Not surprised. Not surprised at all.

Donnie has spent 8 years inciting violence against judges, juries, dems, and relubkickkkans he doesn’t like. Fuck him and fuck every person who votes for him
 
Comer has asked the head of the Secret Service to come to Congress for an emergency hearing.

I do not see her keeping her job very long.

Obviously it’s our fault because we have the audacity to call Trump a fascist fat fu-k. Both sides, both sides, both sides…lol…

Bothsides: (noun) pejorative term reserved for the media, mainly by voters of the former Democratic Party; circa 2024, origin is from American English phrase ‘both sides’, a false equivalency drawn by the media that many say played a role in the demise of the American Republic.

Were they Republicans?

I just woke up...but seeing no headlines from the media mentioning that the kid was a Republican is very disconcerting. They should be salivating over the fact that right before the RNC a Republican shot the Republican nominee. This stuff blows "Dems in Disarray" right out of the water. This is a better story than the GOP and their inability to run the House of Representatives. This is easy ratings/clicks and more money. I did see it in smaller or local outfits but that is it. To be fair, it might be smart of them to wait until they know the motive to speculate...they don't want another Pelosi rumor circulating and being linked to them. They would not show the same grace if the guy was a lefty though...

We will see...a normal human or even just a decent politician would turn this into a pivot point. A time to show a bit of humility and act like maybe you learned a lesson. Be a human. (like Biden was after he heard about it) People like Trump can't do that...just like he couldn't when he got COVID. He doubled down and became more unhinged. (and risked the lives of many in his inner circle) I think when he gives his "The Hand of God Protects The Fuhrer" speech at the RNC (an RNC that will make sure to say parts of but not the name of Project 2025) the same people who hated Trump 2 days ago will hate him just as much. Hell, I would put the odds at 3-1 that if the guy supported Nikki Haley he names her as being responsible along with all RINOs and Crooked Joe. Not that I am going to watch...
