2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

He also mocked the Pelosi attack again...but Harris was a tough boss so same same!!

I mean, damned if you do and damned if you don't with the job numbers. They've kept rates high for so long with the express purpose to cool down the job market to reign in inflation, but then if at any point job growth slows they treat it as a condemnation of administration policies and not the entire point of what the Fed has been doing for 2+ years now. The focus should be on the fact that they were able to cool off growth a tad to bring inflation down without it causing a full on crash; the fact this administration pulled out of the mythical soft landing should be the biggest headline by far.

Tomes will be written on this economic recovery. It has busted the myths of austerity. Busted the myths of unemployment being a necessary evil. And blown the myths of a soft landing out of the water.

88 Business Leaders Endorse Harris

The signees include high-profile executives, including James Murdoch, the former 21st Century Fox CEO and son of Rupert Murdoch; Michael Lynton, the Snap chairman; Jeremy Stoppelman, the Yelp chief executive; Hoffman, the former LinkedIn chief executive; Jeff Lawson, the Twilio co-founder; Laurene Powell Jobs, the Emerson Collective chief executive; Mark Cuban, the entrepreneur and “Shark Tank” host; Peter Chernin, the TCG founder and former Fox chief operating officer; and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Wndr founder and managing partner and former Walt Disney Studios chairman.

Trumpnalso forgot who he was running against again...

And in the "Irony is Dead" category the award goes to NYTimes Publisher AG Sulzberger (the guy who openly feuded with Biden over not getting an interview) wrote an Op-Ed about how a second Trump term would be bad for the media. Gee AG maybe be honest in your reporting on him...

It also proves that economic recovery is better done by giving people money to spend not corporations or banks.

Exactly. Austerity and unemployment do the opposite of what Chicago school economists say.

Printing money and making sure people have jobs solves recessions. Spending money good.

If they want to improve job numbers they may need to try and find ways to tackle offshoring. The amount and type of things now starting to be offshored make me wonder if I’ll ever be employed again
One of the SuperPACs just put out an here in Alaska attacking the Republican House candidate for doing this exact thing.

So now we reduce health care costs by eating more vegetables and exercise? Faux is going to hate that! Who said that anyways?

**whispers in my ear**

Wait Faux said that? Nah. Well it was probably Jessica Tarlov that commie! Or one of the news people reading some report right?!

**more whispering**

JESSE PHUCKING WATERS?!?!

Note...this is their way of justifying cutting Medicare.

These the same people that attacked Michelle Obama for advocating for healthier school lunches, and planting a garden at the White House?

Watched Bill Maher again. At this point it's hate watching. He always finds some extreme example of some liberal acting like an idiot and makes that his reason to be on TV. Meanwhile HE ALWAYS finds a right wing idiot who actually defends Donald Dump.

It's old and tired.

It'd be nice to get a different Rated R political comedy show somewhere. There's room.

Musk's America PAC started running an ad in MI about how Kamala's policies will make us into the Soviet Union. Medicare-for-All is communist healthcare. Price controls will mean bread lines. Topped off with the worst Russian accent I've ever heard for narration.

Exactly! Brought to you buy the people who want warned against Obamacare Death Camps who said old people should work during the Pandemic and die if necessary to keep it running.

I have been an avid watcher of that show for 15 years...I quit and I don't miss it. Every so often I might watch Overtime if there is a guest I like...but Bill is just another aging Boomer trying to hold on to a relevancy he doesn't deserve. And what is worse is he isn't even funny anymore. And you can tell things aren't going well because his usual guests don't seem to be showing up like they used to.

At least he isn't platforming Cornel West which was a fear of mine. West used to always be on his show and was a personal fave. Knowing he is risking the future of Democracy cause he owes $500k in back taxes and unpaid child support means he is a POS.

Speaking of Musk, Xitter now has promoted Trends that you cannot block or mark 'Not Interested'. And of course, the first one that I see is #CantAffordKamala.

Some Republican PAC is also running ads on streaming services about Harris supposedly wanting to ban chewing tobacco. Hilarious! Didn't Dump raise the age to purchase all tobacco products to 21?
