2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

If the Vikings hired him as coach, maybe history would be kind to them :). Anyway, very good speech by Walz, and short, so excellent in my book. How long before Trump and Co. attack the 17 year old non verbal son? Not even THEY would do that, would they?

They totally would. And if they don’t, the cult absolutely will.

As I saw mentioned on Threads, Walz really brought that “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!” energy.

I don’t cry or get misty eyed often. To the point my family is probably worried I’m some sort of sociopath. But seeing Gus stand up and shout “That’s my dad” through tears as he’s giving him a big man point got me.

I’m not going to lie, the tears came when I saw Walz’s son crying. What a fabulous speech.

it's how a real family looks. Unabashedly proud and unconditionally loving.

It's what happens when you teach healthy masculinity. You get to show love and emotion.

Yeah that got me!

The Minnesota Delegation was cheering and partying until like 10 minutes ago. They refused to leave!

Ditto. Just impossible not to cry there.

I don’t like nitpicking, but sometimes I still do. Gus isn’t non verbal, but has a non verbal learning disorder. Makes it hard to recognize patterns and concepts, as well as make it difficult to organize their thoughts. Struggling with social cues is usually involved, as is being a bit “clumsy” as their brain struggles to understand spatial relationships.

Now on to your actual question, yes. Yes they would.

On one hand, there's Baron

on the other, he's also none of damn business.

He definitely comes across as football coach/teacher, but in a very likable way.

But I will fight anyone that goes after his family.

It's not nitpicking it is important to make the distinction because it's confusing.

Thank you for the clarification, and agreed, not nitpicking. I actually thought I did see Mrs. Walz whisper in his ear at one point something like “don’t stand until everyone else does” or something like that, so the not picking up social cues makes a lot of sense.
