Barack Obama's speech just didn't do much for me.

We're not going back to the ****ty old way of politics that apparently he never grew out of.

Obama's speech has a place. It was for the Olds who are traditionalists.

And just think about that. Think about how far the Democratic party has come.

We aren't just 150 years ahead of the GOP. We are 75 years ahead of where the Dems were during Clinton.

We are the future. The Dems are actually gaining on me, and I never thought I would live to see a major party within a century of me.

The levy broke, and the actual America that has existed hidden from cable news and late night and pundits has spilled through, In my lifetime the America portrayed by the two major parties has been a completely made up marketing campaign for people still dreaming of a white, Christian, Jeffersonian amber waves paradise that never existed. What I see now, at this convention, and in this party, is actual America. Reality.

That has to be healthy. For the first time in my lifetime, it's not bullsh-t.
