The "Minnesota is bombed out" nonsense isn't even new. Late 2020 my dad was trying to convince me - from his house in MA - that Portland, OR was a burned out husk with almost nothing left. I happen to have several friends that live in and around the city, so I asked them, and all of them said that, basically, there are a couple of blocks where there is definitely rioting/protesting but the city was fine. I informed my dad... who didn't believe them. But he knows better, from 3200 miles away.


Yeah, reality doesn't matter with Trumpists. It simply isn't a consideration for them.
 
It's no different than the Dumpy Fans that I work with who swear that if one sets foot inside any part of Chicago you'll find yourself in the middle of WW-I style trench warfare between gangs. Like "Oh, you went to **Insert Downtown Restruaunt** & walked around Grant Park and didn't die? You're lucky!"

I'll then follow up with how I visit the area at least 20+ times/year and as you said, they just shrug it off and never acknowledge that their idea is wrong.
 
Difference between Trump Rally and Harris Rally?

When people pass out from the heat at a Trump rally he keeps yapping and never cares.

Walz legit stopped his speech for 5 minutes, asked to get the dude help, told everyone to drink water and protect each other and help. Then he thanked the staff who helped.

There are better politicians than Walz...but I dare you to find a better human in politics.

Trumpers are the football coaches who believe "Water makes you weak!" in preseason workouts. Simple as that. They view the indifference shown as a feature, not a bug. Only wimps need attention (unless it is one's self who needs it).

[Insert normal caveat on polls]

Harris now leads by 13 points with women (55%-42%).

She has gone from a 23-point lead with Black voters over Trump a couple of weeks ago, to a 54-point lead.

Harris is up 9 points with independents (53%-44%). She was down 14 points with them last month.

Harris has gone from 40% with white voters overall to 46%.

Harris is leading Trump by 11 points with baby boomers (55%-44%).

Latinos have also moved in Harris' favor. 58% say they would vote for her now, compared to 51% last month.

Weird thing is supposedly the overall number is 51-48% Harris in the two way race. 48-45% Harris. To me that doesn't compute.

But...that is crazy!

Yes...because he can talk his way out of that many ways. Being on tape saying Walz did a good job makes his "Walz let Minneapolis burn we are all gonna die!" argument rather facile.

The funny thing is, the audio has been around for a while. Walz has talked about what Trump said rather recently I think. Trump lets himself get painted into these corners so easily.

Speaking of that, Stephen Miller decided to go on Ari Melber's show on MSNBC to discuss how Trump is not involved in Project 2025 and some other topics...it went well for about half the time (i.e. he stayed calm) but Melber completely got him to go unhinged when they discussed January 6th and immigration. By the end Miller sounded like every twerpy schmuck we all wanted to beat up at Hebrew School. Best part is, if you watch you can actually see when Ari knows he has him, like a lawyer when he is cross examining a defendant. It was hilarious.
