Yeah Trump did that in Saint KKKloud...pretending he sent The National Guard in which is just not how that works. Plus they will talk about how Minneapolis sucks and is dangerous which will make Walz laugh.

If they go after his policy record (Woke Left!!!!) they will be laughed out of the room. We have a surplus every year and save some and reinvest the rest in people and infrastructure. We feed our kids, have an awesome Child Tax Credit and treat people like people. Oh and we not only protect abortion rights but we openly tell our stupid neighbor states to come here to protect your health.

My guess is they call him something like a "Bumpkin" as a joke. A nobody. That will make him even more appealing.

A bit old (Walz is 18 years younger but that would be funny. Yesterday I saw Jim Gaffigan which could work if he can talk faster.

As DGF just texted me...THE STATE FAIR IS GOING TO BE LIT! I might have to actually go this year :eek:

Of course Sykes also intimated Shapiro didnt get it cause of the "far left Anti Israel" campaign online so...yeah. Conservatives are not smart.

Adding a smidge to this, MN’s state cash reserve, the “rainy day fund,” is maxed out to the legal limit. Walz pushed for that to the public, while working with the state legislature. He’s not a reckless spender a la Trump and about 99% of the GQP.

If they go that route it’ll be pretty easy to show that once the state took over (he gave Mayor Frey and MPLS a chance to deal with it on their own) it was over pretty quickly. It involved some unpopular tactics, but ones the right are all about.

Yeah, bringing the national guard in to fire pepper spray and rubber bullets at people sitting on their porches was a tough look. Obviously he didn’t order them to do so, but the buck stops there.

I am pleased that I have seen a few far left progressives complain about that incident but in the same breath admit that he’s signed a pretty progressive legislation, so they’ve let it go.
 
I like the Walz pick. Somewhat surprised he was chosen. Shapiro needs to stump for them hard in Philly.

There's literally nothing of substance for the GOP to attack.

Now they need to convince the base to come out in droves and vote for the ticket. Biden's gone, Walz is NOT a boomer. Kamala is a great candidate. Get it done.

And Frey has no ill will...was on MSNBC this morning talking him up. Frey blinked on night 1 and he knows it.

Here is the thing when it comes down to it...Harris needs the Biden Coalition to hold. Tim is a younger Joe Biden who is liked by virtually all the same people. (Check his numbers versus Bidens in Minnesota...virtually identical) Combine that with the new/returning voters Harris is bringing in and you are in a good place. And you do it without any baggage.

Plus, while the Right is painting him "Left Radical" (hah!) much of the Left and media is painting him as Centrist. If he shifts the Overton Window to the point that Minnesota policies are "The Center" this country is going to prosper for a long time.
