"This is a democracy, a constitutional republic. We must respect the will of the people,” said Conway, “and Nikki Haley can't become an election denier. She’s been rejected. She can say tonight she came in second, or you can say she came in last.”

She lost by double digits in a heads up race in a state she had a major endorsement from and who seems to not be leaning MAGAt on many issues. (like abortion) This after a pretty mediocre showing in Iowa where again she got pimpslapped and should have been able to make major inroads. She spent way too long waiting to rip Trump and by the time she did he had already started calling her Nimrata and her inability to even handle basic questioning had sunk her. If DeSantis had defragged his programming to be more human he would have made mincemeat out of her and he friggin sucks.

Give her time for all the anti-Dumpers to coalesce around her. If her numbers are in the 40s and climbing, with a presumptive nominee perched on the cusp of going to prison, she should stay all the way. She should make it impossible for the RNC to deny her if Dump goes to the big house and/or drops dead of Terminal Fat Pigness.
 
It may have been a double digit loss but it was a low double digit. I didn't expect her to win but I certainly was surprised at how many votes she did get. It probably won't mean anything in the long run, but that has to be the closest someone has come to beating him.

The system is setup for Trump having the nomination wrapped up by the end of March. It's all winner take all by Super Tuesday and Haley's 40% gets her as many delegates as my 0%.

Reminds me of the old joke about the USSR and USA playing in a 2-team hockey tournament, and the Pravda headline read, "USSR finishes in second; USA next to last"

From what I can gather she means that we should accept results and the will of the people if the big orange blob wins an election. But only if it does. Otherwise, scream "cheat" and deny deny deny.

I started to do the math in my head justifying why she needs to stay in for the long haul -- to cause chaos at the Convention. And then you reminded me about this rule. And that math in my head disappeared like a dream when you wake up.

Yeah, that was also my strategy. However, she can stay in, finish second in every primary with her 40-ish%, get no delegates, but then claim them all when he gets convicted. Might as well. She's not pretty enough for him to tap her as veep.

Dude it is way to early to be this high. 51%...she won't get that in her home state most likely let alone any other state of value. The Never Trumpers dont like her cause she is a warhawk and openly talked about how the GOP has a spending problem. (she bit the hand that feeds) Plus they need someone who isn't a hardcore Anti-Abortion option and she is out front with a full federal ban. They aren't coalescing behind anyone but especially not her.

People can talk about moral victories all they want to...she still finished 3rd in Iowa and 2nd (in a two person race) in NH. Maybe you could be on to something if say DeSantis took Iowa or Christie took NH but Trump won both...and did so without breaking a sweat. Neither was close, and they should have been in a normal year. Internal polling for everyone not named Trump is so bad that Christie dropped BEFORE Iowa and DeSantis dropped after finishing 2nd in Iowa. (a better showing than Nikki had) She doesn't have the moxy or the charisma to take on Trump...she is basically Tim Scott in a skirt. On top of that she has played this all wrong anyways and destroyed any possible moderate cred she had (by that I mean in comparison to Hair Fuhrer) the second the debates started.

Like I said, the only path is she establishes herself as the other choice, and then hopes Dump either dies or goes to the hoosegow. Fun fact: "hoosegow" comes from the Spanish word "juzgado," meaning "tribunal."

It's more the irony of her saying that a candidate must respect the will of the people, and Nikki shouldn't be an election denier.

Even in jail he will still be on the ballot and he won't be in jail anyways. Seriously put the pipe down.

And I doubt most of MAGA would vote for Nimrata for a bevy of reasons...I mean for God sakes she went to an ACC school! (I feel most MAGAts are ES E SEE fans)

Trump will be on there in November unless he strokes out. This is where if the Deep State existed it would be nice to get one of those cool CIA deaths like in spy flicks!
