Parking - reserve parking ahead of time - you can’t reserve parking now but you should check back occasionally and get parking as soon as possible. I usually park in K-Neil Avenue Garage ($15). Easy in, close by, easy out.

We're into August and still no word on a coach to take Allison Coomey's spot on the bench. Would there be any chance of Jeff Kampersal going into the season with just Mackenna Newkirk and his goalie coach working with him? I wish I knew what part of the game Coomey coached and what Newkirk coaches.

For some reason, I thought Kampersal played goalie. It turns out he was a d. Newkirk definitely played forward for BC. I'm not sure that was the definitive answer you were looking for, but it gives you some background info.

Coomey coached defense and Newkirk coaches offense. As Reddington noted, Kampersal played defense so maybe he'll take over the defense for the season.

I just checked and the women's assistant coach position is no longer posted -- not sure if that means they filled the position and haven't announced the hire yet OR they decided not to fill it this year and re-advertise next spring. The ad was still posted online the last time I checked about a month ago.

Janecke made the USA College Selects team. Retrum and Heinglemuler will hopefully take that Sophomore jump this year.

That's some big money to live in Happy Valley! Maybe he hit his bonuses because of the Women's Hockey Team or the writer is a fan of Lobdell? Good eye.

I saw it was discussed a few weeks back, but anyone hear anything if they plan to hire a 4th coach, feels like if we have not got an announcement at this point they won't but just curious?

I have not heard anything -- I tend to agree that if they haven't announced a new coach by now with the season starting in ~2 weeks, then they've decided not to fill the position for this year.

I agree that it's probably too late in the game now to still be looking for a replacement on the bench for Allison Coomey. I think one of the biggest losses with Coomey is her very strong involvement with USA Hockey, and how that had to have been a big help with recruiting for Penn State. It's going to be interesting to see who she gets on the roster at Delaware when they start their D-1 hockey program next year.

Tickets for the Icebreakers tournament were supposed to go on sale yesterday but pushed back at least another week for whatever reason.

Five more days - #12 Penn State takes on RIT in a one-off preseason exhibition at Pegula Ice Arena on Sunday at 1:00! Then the regular season starts at home four days later (Thursday and Friday) with Northeastern coming to Penn State to start the season. Thursday is going to be banner raising night at the arena, too.

BTN+ doesn't have the RIT game on the schedule, but the Northeastern series is there.

An FYI for anyone thinking of coming to Columbus for the Icebreaker Tournament. It's being moved from the Ice Hause where the Blue Jackets practice to our men's arena the Schott. Have no other info at the moment.

Lines, pairings and goalie rotations are always a bit of a surprise. Lots of new talent to assimilate. Great info by Zed.

I really hope Kampersal keeps the top line intact, with Tessa Janecke, Katelyn Roberts, and Stella Retrum. They've got a season under the belts and worked well together. And then, as you said, there is a lot of new talent to work into the remaining lines, and that's going to be really interesting to see. There wasn't a whole lot of offensive mojo lost to graduation from last season, so (depending on how quickly the new players get into the groove) this may shape up to be a really good one for Penn State.
