2022 NCAA Tournament

The tournament is a beacon of equity when every eligible conference gets an AQ you halfwit. You don't even realize what you are saying.

So you're saying that a #44 deserves a berth?

"Equity" doesn't translate to "everyone gets to play, regardless of merit"... "Equity" translates to a level playing field via an objective metric; not gifting berths to conferences in an arbitrary manner, you raging poopy-head.

If we must include every fluid construct of a "conference" (and you probably haven't grasped the fact that teams migrate back and forth all the time out here, rendering the notion of a "conference" sorta moot from time to time) then at least award the bid to the respective RS champs on the basis of a much larger sample-size.

Play money-pit D-3 tournaments if you like. I admit that they're fun. But the results of them should carry no more weight than a bit more data-grist for the PW mill. If some team (say Olaf) gets a wild hare up it's ass for 3 games, and still finishes 11-14 , why should they displace a Wilkes, an Oswego or an Endicott? Riddle me that, Einstein.

Very simple, yet not simple enough for you to grasp. Work on that GED, already.

It is indeed simple. St. Olaf had to win three games to reach the NCAA Tournament. Wilkes had the same opportunity. St. Olaf did so. Wilkes did not. Then again Wilkes probably had little chance against such a premier perennial national contender such as Utica.

Steve, you contribute nothing to this board. You have pounded the same horse carcass into oblivion for how long. What else do you contribute around here other than keyboard diarrhea on this topic?

All of the teams competing understand the system and deal with it. I would tell you to enjoy it but I get the impression you can't enjoy anything. Except perhaps selling plumbing fixtures at Lowe's.

And "raging poopy-head?" And *I* am the one who is supposed to get a GED? I moved on from the third grade a long time ago. Apparently you have not. Good luck on your multiplication tables test tomorrow.

And despite our earlier disagreement I stand on your side of this argument, Sir Nubs.

Though I will not support personal attacks, I support leaving the system as it is. We all know what it is, how it works and what you need to do to get in.

I enjoy it and feel disappointment when it does not go my way, not anger.

Go Hobart, Genny, Augsburg and Utica!

You need to look-up a few words and concepts.

For starters:

1. "Sarcasm"
2. "Trolling"
3. "Sample-size"
4. The actual definition of "equity".

God knows that it's great fun to have these annual and pointless pissin*g contests with you -100% of which you instigate with some unprovoked sniping on the Utica thread- but what do you say we give it a rest and let some D-3 fans discuss the actual games..? There are people on here who want to talk about (believe it or not) HOCKEY, and you can bet the gerbil-farm that they are all tired of our BS.

So, I'm done with your bad penis-envy self for this season, but I promise to let you have the delayed last word and fire the first broadside NEXT year. (Well, I do that every year, don't I little fella?)

Deal? Whomever cracks first is a monkey's uncle.

Go Hobart, Genny, Augsburg and Utica!

But, does it make any sense that a hypothetical team can go 0-20, get into a conference tournament (because everyone does) then run-off 3 wins to garner an NCAA berth at 3-20?

I just don't see that making any sense at all.

Wrong again. "Everyone" does not get into a conference tournament.

You sure concede defeat easily. I suppose that happens when you talk a lot without saying anything.

How is asking you to defend a position sniping? It was a simple question. You still haven't even attempted to answer it.

I'm certainly not envious of someone who hawks ceiling fans at Lowe's. I could discuss your claims of two years ago about how you spent 35+ years in the medical profession and how those were all lies, but as you said there's always next year.

Going to be a great weekend of hockey.

Beating Adrian will be a tall task for Hobart, especially in their barn. But, I’m going to hope coach Taylor has the boys ready to go.

To quote one of the team’s mantras:
”We Respect All, and Fear None”

Go ‘Bart!!!!

While Adrian is certainly the favorite, I've got a feeling Hobart is going to give them a run for their money and if any team can actually beat them, I think it's Hobart. Game feels like it could be 4-3 Hobart or 7-2 Adrian.

I think it's safe to say that everybody who isn't a Bulldogs fan will be pulling for Hobart in this one.

Feel the same way.

Adrian comes in waves. If someone takes them out, they will have to be able to withstand that. An on-fire goaltender would help. It can be done, but stars will need to align.

SNC led them 3-2 entering the third period in their first meeting this season and then in a blink of an eye it was out of hand.

To elaborate further on the “coming in waves,” in their regular season 2 game series, SNC tied or out scored them in 4 of the 6 periods. That being said, Adrian absolutely earned that sweep. No comment on the NCHA championship game…

If you have a ROKU, the Utica game is on the Empire8 channel, while the Augsburg game is on the MIAC channel.

Liam Lascelle has had a pretty good career at Hobart. When he's on...he's as good as anyone in Division III. I think they have the goalie to get it done, and the firepower to keep up. Hobart has had games where they have turned it on too and all of sudden scored 4 or 5 straight goals.

Interesting…I’m not surprised to hear Adrian scores in bunches. I want to say I just read (maybe in Hobart’s pre-game release?) that Adrian has averaged 6+ goals a game this season? Yikes. Lascelle will likely get the start for Hobart…he has proven capable of ”stealing” a game. I’m hoping he eats his Wheaties this morning.

If Hobart pulls this out it will be a result of executing a near-perfect road game. Can’t afford any self-inflicted damage and they’ll need to take advantage of their chances. I know it sounds cliche…but it is what it is.

Probably safe to say special teams will need to play a role if they are to win. I’m guessing Adrian’s PP is lethal…does anyone know how well they kill penalties?

Meanwhile, UNE tallies a short handed goal in the second. They take a 1-0 lead into the third.

…sh*t is about to get real for the Pioneers.

Buckle up, looks like the third period is going to be a battle.
