Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Ralph Nader is a fraud and a fuking idiot. Anybody who went around, as he did, saying there was no difference between the Dems and the GOP in the Gore vs Bush contest needs to be beaten senseless.

Exactly. And now Tulsi is going to do it. Along with a 100 thousand Russian Bots.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

The result of Nader was very unfortunate but he was legit; he had campaigned for consumer safety and other good causes for decades.

Stein was an idiot. Tulski is an asset.

Nader in Florida ****ed us to the point where the Supreme Court has 4 justices selected by guys who lost the popular vote who have or will push our country back a century. Citizens United, Gerrymandering, Roe, etc. All gone or soon to be because Dems needed perfection.

There's no argument that it went terribly wrong. Intent and consequence are two different things. I'm not going to bother explaining this point further.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

His intent doesnt matter. No one is saying he didnt have good intentions...but he also knew what running as a third party candidate involved and he knew who it would hurt the most.

Read This

He knew what he was doing, hell he WELCOMED IT! He assumed that if he helped Gore lose it would be the "Come to Jesus" moment for the Dems (sound familiar) and guess what, like always, that wasnt the truth. Now some (we dont need to name names) will say that is because of the Billionaire Globalist Conspiracy or whatever...but it doesnt matter. The guy figured Bush winning would push the Dems Left, it didnt happen and this country has never recovered. He thought he was playing 3D chess and in reality he screwed everyone.

The same game was tried in Florida when Rick Scott ran for Governor and it was a disaster. All the people who whined that "Both sides are the same!" got bent over a barrel when Rick Scott took office winning by just over 1%.

I voted for Nader (in MN so it didnt matter) and honestly I wish he had just shut up and stayed home. If he had the country would be in a much better position, more people would be alive, climate change wouldnt even be debated and the Supreme Court would be Left. But hey, he got to tell us how Gore was a fraud...yippie.

Haha omg
JUST IN: Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hilary Clinton reportedly said that she would consider entering the Democratic primary if she saw a scenario in which she could win.

NY Times...wrong.

edit: Proof:

Other names mentioned in the story as potential Democrats that at least some in the party are pining for included former first lady Michelle Obama, who has repeatedly ruled out a run for office, and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), who has also said he would not run for president.

They arent even hiding they are pulling crap out of their butt. They threw Clinton in to try and cover their butts for what they did to her in 2016.

That's such a load. It's obviously trolling Dump; the only question is it is Hillary herself, the Times reporter, or the reporter's "source."

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

It’s the times, hard to say

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

They already pay all the taxes. Let's say you make 100,000 a year and you pay in payroll and income taxes about 27,000. That poor guy making a million has to pay 150,000 in taxes. It's NOT ****ING FAIR. That's 123,000 more in taxes. The outrage.

Or we could get rid of all the tax havens, shell companies, tax breaks/write-offs, etc and everyone actually pay the percentage of tax they are supposed to be paying on what their income is.

Yes but the fact that they’re avoiding taxes doesn’t mean they shouldn’t also be taxed at a higher rate than people who can barely pay rent. In fact that probably necessitates the opposite.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

yo. half of the voting age population didn't vote. apathy is where scooby's blame is to be directed.

more the merrier :D

If half of the customers in a store left without buying anything would we say they were apathetic or would we say the store was not offering the right products?
