2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Biden would be easier to stomach if he'd stop assuming once Trump leaves that the GOP would suddenly become reasonable. Took Obama six years to realize they would never be reasonable. The next Dem president needs to know this from the start. Biden clearly doesn't.

To be fair I assume Biden understands the GOP are beyond reason. This is a tactic: he is selling himself as the moderate who can speak to all sides. He is using that narrative as a personal vehicle even though it damages Congressional Dems. Joe Biden wants to be president more than he wants to see liberal policies put in place.

You say that like it's a bad thing, but he speaks for a plurality of the electorate. If it comes down to Trump or Biden for 4 years, are you willing to die on that hill with Warren or Sanders?

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

I don't think the plurality of the electorate wants to see the planet end, which is essentially what you're voting for if you pick Biden.

Yep. I'm resigned to the planet being over at this point. Greenland is melting and the Fossil Fuel industry still drives everything in the richest country on Earth so at this point there is no other conclusion to draw and it's looking like it's too late at this point.

We don't even have a bee initiative at the Federal Level. I wonder what's going to happen when all the pollinators are gone.

Obviously I will campaign happily for Biden. I will support ANY Democrat over ANY Republican, probably for the rest of my days. Nazism must be completely eradicated.

I figured that out before voting for Gore in 2000. It's been 20 years already.

This is a massive exaggeration and please don't do this. It's the equivalent of saying there was no difference between Dump and Hillary on regulating Wall Street.

Remember: you and I are on the same side. We need to be promoting the moral superiority and good horse sense of far left policy positions wherever possible. However we cannot do that by attacking center-left Democrats. The enemy is the Nazis. We cannot be like the German Communists in the 30's who attacked the Socialists as sell-outs and an impediment to revolution.

All opponents of Dump and the Republican Nazis MUST hang together or you know the rest.

If Uncle Joe is elected then we need to look to the Congress to put big changes in front of him to sign as opposed to him suddenly pulling a Lizzy Warren and driving the bus himself. My concern with Sanders is that a lot of his ideas aren't fully thought out and it would take some time to get them worked into an actual bill. Obviously what Warren is proposing would be revised in Congress but it seems like she's a lot further down the road.

The guy has a fossil fuel board member as his climate adviser, no it ****ing isn't. Our problems go far beyond, "orange man bad", and nothing has been done about this problem for decades under both republican and dem administrations so it's not just the nazis who are to blame for it.

My concern with Sanders is that a lot of his ideas aren't fully thought out and it would take some time to get them worked into an actual bill.
He has written or sponsored actual bills for most of his proposals (Medicare for All, housing, workplace democracy, labor, corporate tax loophole legislation, Yemen) unlike Warren so this is just mainstream media tripe right here.

Why

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">“Biden has seen big spikes in support among moderate and conservative Democrats (43% up from 29% in September), racial and ethnic minorities (28% among all nonwhites to 42% now) and older voters (up 13 points since September among those 45 and older)” <a href="https://t.co/Tbq7RYMOY8">https://t.co/Tbq7RYMOY8</a></p>— Rachel Cohen (@rmc031) <a href="https://twitter.com/rmc031/status/1186968198295543809?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 23, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Because most Americans are fcking retards.

The choice is yours.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Guys we're in the primary, it isn't this or that. There are other better options.
You are a card carrying loon. Can't sum it up any more succinctly than that! ;)
Shocking that you can't argue the actual content of the post and resort to posting about how others post.

#1 problem is Orange Man Bad. If that doesn’t get taken care of, then problems #2-#infinity don’t get taken care of. Clearly most of us want someone other than Biden, but we can’t have people sit out again because “both parties are the same.” If people haven’t learned that’s not true in the last three years, then I don’t know what to tell them.

Everybody is already making the argument that your take is stupid. Even Kep won't stick up for you and he's your mentor. Sometimes it isn't the other people trix, its you.

Yeah we know you think this is a popularity contest.

It won't under Biden either, that's why people shouldn't vote for him in the primary. Obviously the parties aren't the same and nobody has ever said that but if we actually care about the planet being habitable during the remainder of our lifetime then we need to push back on everyone in both parties who doesn't take it seriously.

Don't play kissy with me, laughing boy. The fact that you call somebody a loon only says they disagree with you and have presented evidence you can't counter logically, so you go to ad hom to try to win by bullying. trix is wrong in this particular case, but you're still the idiot.
