Because another 15% put themselves ahead of their country (and, ironically, screw themselves doing it).

That 15% may be dumber than the 33%. They certainly lack critical thinking skills.

Looks like she's a big fish in a pool of lightweights. If she doesn't blow them out of the water, her campaign is toast.

Yep. All the other big fish are on night two. She got shafted.

Hickenlooper is going to physically haul a tub out onto the stage to go after Sanders on TEH SOCIALISM!!!11!

The thing about Warren being alone is everybody else in that group is either somebody with a bad start circling the drain (O'Rourke, Booker, Castro, Klobuchar) or a nobody desperate to make a splash so they are all going to be falling over top of each other to get in THE BIG ZINGER against the leader.

Call her Pocahontas because she's going to wind up full of arrows.

OTOH, this is Inslee's dream draw. He can turn everything into "Hey you as-sholes, did you know we're ALL GOING TO DIE?!" and nobody else will be on the same field with him. He's going to wind up either looking like a complete kook or a solid pro.

How long are the debates again? And I can't wait until one of the idiots like Hickenlooper just gets audibly booed for whining about socialism like that one guy did the other day (Delaney?).

Well anyone who supports the green new deal is in the same boat as him and that's literally his only issue.

I think Lizzy got a favorable draw here. Its a bunch of never-were's plus O'Rourke while Bernie, Biden, Kamala, and Mayor Pete slug it out in the 2nd debate. Warren basically got the equivalent of the Patriots regular season schedule. ;)

Weren’t all the Pats losses to non-playoff teams?

Re: 2020 Democrat Challengers Part II: There Can Be Only One

Warren's only real threats in that first debate are Klobuchar, and maybe Beto. Klobuchar will probably attack Warren for being too lefty and out of touch with flyovers. On paper O'Rourke is just a Kennedy-esque pretty boy with a nice smile, but if he plays his empty platitudes right, he could get a solid bump out of this first round by staying above the fray.

Warren is Notre Dame, and everyone else in that bracket is Bemidji State. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. We shall see how well-prepared she is.

Flyovers for sure as far as Klobuchar goes. Maybe pulls a "you fell for Trump's Pocahontas trap" (maybe a hint of that). Amy K has already said Trump will call her a [female dog] etc, so let's talk about the issues and move on.

So this will be the SB for everyone to make bones attaching her

Well, looks like the lottery screwed Warren. She appears on Night One and Bernie and Biden are both on night two.

Totally disagree. She is going to look like a genius compared to her bunch and gain way more than she would if she kills it. (which she will) She is in the a great position for a bevy of reasons.

Incidentally, saw some Bernie Bro twitter bloggers already hinting at what their attacks on Warren will be. The posts got little traction but they are just sowing the seeds right now so they can reference them later.

Re: 2020 Democrat Challengers Part II: There Can Be Only One

I'm going to guess the Berners will say she is a connected, wealthy elitist who has worked too closely with Wall Street in the past to be trusted (even if it was to oppose a lot of their lobbying attempts). I'll also guess they will say she has had too much negative press in the last couple of years, and therefore can't beat Trump.
