I don't believe that. Everyone not completely inside the Republican duncecap circlejerk knows it is vote blue no matter who. We may lose to a wave of Dothraki Dumpies, or to Putin's cyber brigandage, but we won't get fooled again. Tous pour un, un pour tous.

Some of you are making too much over Uncle Joe's comments. It sounds more to me like "sh it that people say when running for Prez" as opposed to a governing principle of a guy who certainly must see the GOP for what they actually are. What he's trying to do, IMHO, is give a reason for working class non-insane voters who are horrified by Chump to vote for him.

Give Biden credit. He knows his lane and he's staying in it. It's the Return to Normalcy candidacy. Its not going to make trix's loins tingle but trix is already devoted to Bernie so Biden isn't bothering. He's probably also made the calculation that the hard core lefties have a ton of choices so they will most likely split the vote while Biden cleans up with older voters, Obama fans, and non-whites.

Look, I don't like it, but he's in a better position than my preferred choice (Warren). Or anybody else at this point. The good news is that a progressive congress sending him Medicaid expansion or tax hikes for the rich negates any moderate tendencies that he might have. I seriously doubt he vetoes Dem passed legislation, so work hard to take back the Senate too.

His lane is to basically tell millenials to **** off and die so yeah that miiiiiiiight be problematic to a sizable portion of his base.

Attention Mr Kepler --- the only way UBI works is of its funded by nationally owner national resources (think oil for Norway).

That's it.

Forgot to follow that anagram it needs to be UNIVERSAL which means "for all". You won't be able to tax enough to pay all enough. And it being welfare isn't ever going to happen.

Right but if every candidate runs on the idea of "we dont negotiate with terrorists" a sizeable portion of the voters will ignore them. It makes sense in a field this large for a few candidates to try and show them they are willing to work with the other side. They arent going to get the Progressives to fall in love with them anyways unless they are the last man standing so do what you have to to stay in the running.

UBI only requires that the rich pay their share in taxes. I favor a large enough UBI coupled with basic guarantees (medical, housing, education) and certain other mean-tested benefits (such as "adversity" scoring in college admissions) that all other forms of social assistance are eliminated.

We're going to stop rationing basic needs using money. They will become non-negotiable rights. After a few generations our system will be seen as the slavery it has always been.

Extreme wealth will still let doofuses buy expensive toys and take expensive vacations. Otherwise it won't mean much. Not having money will not prevent a human being from fulfilling their potential.

You monkey people will just have to find another way to show off to each other. I suggest ludicrous body modifications so we can laugh at you.
