Basically I'm referencing the fact that D voters didn't vote because Bernie wasn't on the ticket... That CAN NOT happen in 2020.... We need every vote the D's can muster because the election will be decided in "Purple" states. Sure, in Illinois, it probably doesn't matter if I don't vote for _______ on the D ballot. But if people take that attitude in Florida or Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, we are doomed to more of the same **** 2016 got us...

ANY D vote is better then no vote at all. And that's what people need to realize at this point...

Again this is 100000000000% accurate. The only way to change things is to win. Do what you need to to win then get in office and do what you REALLY want to do.

The Ohio challenge was a challenge to the motor voter act, and it was upheld. The 2013 challenge (Shelby v Holder) was challenging the voter rights act (or at least the enforcement apparatus), also upheld.

And now you're arguing that the Supreme Court wouldn't likely uphold a challenge to HR1 because... ~reasons~

trix, you're living in your own world again. This is why you get made fun of all the time. The motor voter act has a provision in it that you can't remove people from the rolls merely for non voting. That's still the law. What Ohio did is added a warning system whereby if you didn't vote over time they'd send out a card for you to either return, or if you then voted in the next two subsequent elections, you maintained your registration. This was deemed legal by the court as there's no provision in Motor Voter banning this practice. Basically its not mentioned one way or the other so Ohio filled in the blanks. No provisions were overturned.

I've already discussed Shelby vs Holder like 3 times. If you don't get it by now, you aren't going to.

No you can’t merely get kicked off the rolls for not voting but the whole point of that move was to disenfranchise voters and anyone who moved (college kids) just get kicked off the rolls for not responding to some piece of snail mail they likely they never got. It was certainly a challenge to the motor voter law.

And yes Shelby was a challenge to the voter rights act and was a blatant ideological ruling under a more friendly Supreme Court.

Anyone who thinks the Supreme Court isn’t going to make bizarre ideological rulings based on states rights on things like HR1 is living in their own world but keep projecting lmao.

And the problem the Democrats have is they cant talk to people. Period end of story. You know why the Blue Collar Workers vote against their interests...because Democrats dont know how to explain to them that is against their interest. (I cant believe I am saying this but) mookie is right. If you cant tell people how what you are doing affects them in terms they will understand they arent going to magically decide to vote for you. They dont even care if you are lying to them they just want to be spoken to.
