If you do watch, maybe you can explain to me how a player can have her arm straight down next to her body and get 5 minutes for elbowing. I've never seen anything remotely close to that before.

Final: Minnesota6, BSU 3. The game was closer than the score, but the Gophers played a tremendous third period. Bemidji had some stretches of control in the offensive zone, but could never get the puck off the boards. Their best chance of the period was when a Minnesota defenseman almost put the puck past Scobee.

An important element of the series was that the puck stuck to the ice over and over, making it hard to move crisply.

Ummm...With as many years as you have been watching WCHA reffing and with your advanced age to boot, it might be said you have forgotten a lot. ;)

I did watch all of game, albeit with the sound off so I could listen to Dan (who did say early on that Kippin would score a goal). That penalty call was way beyond my imagination or any hockey knowledge I might have. Personally, I thought the Badgers started diving as soon as they went down 3-0 at 12:52 of the 2nd period. The refs ignored most of their flops, fortunately.

Agreed...Minnesota played well in the 3rd. Not only was the puck sticking but there were some weird bounces off the boards as well

Losing to Mankato sure does a number on your RPI.

From .6920 down to .6691 (with some Saturday results not in yet, of course).

Takes a little heat off OSU.

UMD eeked by Kato 5-4, who were down 4-1 at one point but rallied back to get into the game.

Wisconsin 0, OSU 0 after a period. The first ten minutes were well and evenly played, then the Bashers dominated until Toque picked up a boarding major with 30 seconds left. The crowd wasn't happywiththe call, but I thought it was both appropriate and necessary, as Rosenthal was in a very vulnerable position when Toque hit her.

Ohio State 3, Wisconsin 1 after two. The Buckeyes scored three times on the major penalty. That and Braendli have been The difference.
