After two, it's Minnesota 4, MSU 0. I'm back in the WCHA, where the refs firmly believe that no one will call you inconsistent if you just never call anything. Aside from the assortment of trips and holds, they let go one dangerous play where Amy Potomak gave a cross-check to the head of a Maverick on her knees. AP needs to stop committing dumb penalties, even if they aren't called.

Friday night's game was the 100th game in a Golden Knight uniform for Giguere while Rattray (147 games) and Ambrose (132 games) needed their entire careers to reach 104 assists".

After one period of play Ohio State jumps out to a 2-1 lead over Princeton. Liz Schepers with both goals, Tatum Skaggs and Emma Maltais each assisting on both.

Buckeyes go ahead 3-1 after two on a goal by Teghan Inglis, just her second of the year. Assists again going to Tatum Skaggs and Emma Maltais! SOG favor OSU 28-20.

Annie Kuehl scored both goals for the Tigers; Tatum Skaggs scored the final goal for the Buckeyes to go along with her four assists!

Blows to the head or any hit that could cause a serious head injury needs to start getting called more often. These young ladies are more susceptible to concussions and they need more protection. There is no checking in the women's game but we all know there is quite a bit of contact which is perfectly ok with me but get the head stuff out of there. They shouldn't be skating around worrying about getting bashed in the head by some idiot. It's like the no checking men's league guy who runs around and tries to hit everyone. He looks like the moron and he doesn't know it, the same shame should be applied to the women's game.

Agree 100%. Plus anything from behind against - or even near - the boards should be an automatic major and game DQ - no exceptions, without regard to the score and time remaining.

Do you mean a game misconduct, which is what a checking from behind incurs now, or would you like it upgraded to an automatic DQ?

Cornell and Union are tied 1-1 through two periods. Shots are 19-8 Big Red, including 11-2 in the 2nd.

And Yale is beating Clarkson in the third 4-2. I was hoping McGill and Lonergan would be returning in the new year. Wrong. I'm wondering if both are done for the year.
