2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

St Cloud beats Bemidji 4-0.

Huskies score their 2nd and 3rd goals during power play after Emily Bergland game misconduct for checking from behind late in 2nd period and out shoot Bemidji heavily in 3rd period after being outshot before then,

What? Boozed up prior to tomorrow or something?

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

It's worked pretty damn well so far, as both lines have 3 goals while on the ice. Third line with 1 goal as well.

I have to say this was a pretty bright idea from Kinger. 7-1 going into the 3rd period. BC starting on the power play.

8-1 final -- really took our foot off the gas in the third, we put the 4th line out there on a power play, so, that tells the story.

Thinking we might want to try those lines for a while. Holy smokes.

Nice win. Unfortunately it doesn't count for anything. Too bad they don't know how to do that during conference play.

looking at the box score, looks like BSU played without 3 of their top 9 forwards and a 4th one got kicked out of the game in the 2nd period.

hehe...St Cloud not getting much credit for their win, but it did take them from 33 to 29 in the pairwise :)

Northeastern currently up 2-0 on Wisconsin halfway through the game...........................

Now 2-1 going into the third period. In other potential upset news, UMD leads Colgate 2-0 after two; the box score shows the two Duluth goals coming in a 17 second stretch late in the 2nd.

Colgate avoids the shutout with a late power play goal.
4-1 final UMD.

This is turning out to be an interesting day. Finals:
Northeastern 3, Wisconsin 2
UMD 4, Colgate 1

No video, and no audio, so no particularly good idea what happened.

The "live stats" thing said Wisconsin had two pipes, and there was (maybe) a third pipe (or maybe one of the other two, credited to a different player) that the person doing the UW twitter feed thought merited a review... but there was none available at the site the game was played at.

Idle last weekend, Thanksgiving day yesterday means not a lot of focus on hockey, led to a flat outing?

The first time in over a year that the starting UW goalie gave up as many as three goals (Niki Cece, filling in for an injured Desbiens, gave up four in her first ever start last year against Duluth).

Oh, well. If you're gonna lose one, a non-conf game is a 'better' choice.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Vermont and RIT tie 1-1. Vermont advances to the Windjammer Classic final in a shootout....Melissa Black denying her sister Claudia on the final shot. Now that's a narrative.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Bobby Morris-Ohio State 1-1 after one.

SOG 20-6 for Colonials. They had Buckeyes on their heels by late in the period.
