2016 WCHA Offseason; It's All Over, Save Ferris

Re: 2016 WCHA Offseason; It's All Over, Save Ferris

If fans and coaches are concerned with there being too many ties, to me the best solution is still to go with reducing the size of goalie equipment/pads, including the huge baggy jerseys. That will increase scoring and reduce the number of ties. I'd like to see this happen not just at the college level but the pro level too. I think that's a better solution than resorting to gimmicks.

You know i'm not so sure about this clutch and grab stuff. It seems we have a style of play that is associated with it and that style is similar to what Ferris plays, but also BGSU plays a very similar style yet they don't have the same reputation. I'm not a fan of that kind of hockey but it does get results.
Going around college hockey, in the NCHC we have quite a few teams that play the so called heavy game.. North Dakota... does, Denver does, WMU, more like Ferris, Miami does, ASU,... very defensive style of play, so it's not like no one but our league has it. In our league we have Ferris, UAH, NMU, LSSU, UAA,BGSU.

I hate the style of play, and it's the one that I've seen my alma mater play. BUT we seem to be recruiting smaller players, and I'm thinking that perhaps we're going to go away from that and maybe take our share of 7-5 losses.

Or it just shows how ineffective UAA is at generating offense.

Did I pop my effing jersey about my team's accomplishments or in any effing way say they were good? You need to shut your effing troll gob you waste of effing humanity. Get the eff out of threads that don't relate to your team's conference. Post here again and I'll effing troll every thread you post in for the next effing year.

Uh-oh, looks like Donnie found a meth dealer again. Been awhile since he had access to the really good stuff from Wasilla.

I based the UAA opinion on the two games I saw them play in Houghton last season. So you might be right fanblog,, but you really don't need to be insulting about it. Also, most of the teams who play the heavy game would not say they play a defensive style, but imho they do. Really they only do it when they're ahead, but whatever.Maybe you ought to review that knowledge bit and apply it to yourself.

Why the eff would I be here if it wasn't to support my team and correct the ignorance that so many people have here about that program? Of course I'll be gone permanently. Don't count on the UAA program getting cut though so your potential glee at my absence is unlikely.

Oh no, you got it all wrong. Watching unbalanced people on the internet is a past time of mine. I'd hate to be deprived of an outlet for my passion on my favorite site.

I don't live in Alaska. I was forced to move from a state which preferred that I die from cancer versus authorizing federally subsidized health care to save my life. Massachusetts on the other hand happily welcomed me for the needed treatment regimen. It will disturb many here that I'm returning to health rather than dying at this point. But, hey ... who knows? Maybe the cancer will come back and make many of the whiny little women here happy. Now go back to your Trump rally, autist.

Once a twat ... always a twat. No worries ... I'm well-versed in pointing out massive twats on the internet.

How do you make picks on the new scoring system? Do you get more options rather than win, tie, loss?

Thanks! Go Beavs
