A comment from the Ohio State vs Minn thread:
"My wife commented several times during the game about players looking tired or sluggish. When we got home, I listened to the pregame interview where Dan commented about the flu sweeping through the locker room. Frosty just shrugged and said everyone was suiting up. I'm guessing some of those inexplicable lapses were the result of flu and nothing more. "

Apparently, its contagious. (The flu, I mean :-) )

I was going to go to the St. Anselm vs. Stonehill men's NE10 championship game today but apparently it's postponed because some St. Anselm players got the mumps. Who gets the mumps?? Seriously.

An explanation is not an excuse. Hopefully you read the article. UW may have lost with her healthy, she did play well considering the effects of the illness, but it certainly attributed to the slow start she had Friday.

I have to apologize in advance to all of my fellow posters that might be coming into town for the Frozen Four, and decide to stay in the Seacoast area. While I wouldn't live in many other places in our great country, prices for room and board do happen to be on the high end! Where the Patty Kaz Awards will be held, is a beautiful piece of land on NH's seacoast.....the Wentworth-By-The-Sea has recently been restored, as it was originally built in the 1874....read more here...http://www.wentworth.com/about-us/wentworth-history/
I do hope everyone comes to visit and leaves a day or so to enjoy the Seacoast.....check the weather for the weekend, and if it's going to be nice, take the time! Durham is 10 miles from the coast, and Portsmouth.....Portsmouth has one restaurant for every 180 resident! So we offer a great deal but it will cost you......:D

Coyne should be the front runner for this award. She carries that team. Without her, NU wouldn't be half of what they are. The other two are excellent, excellent players, don't get me wrong. But without them, their teams would still be top end teams.

Given Knight never finished in the top three, she doesn't really qualify as a minimum raise. Badger fans can't even complain much about her not winning, because the years where she would have had a chance, Wisconsin players did win.

Yeah, but never being in the top 3 ever was an injustice (how did those teams ever lose a single game anyway?). If Brandt has been healthy all year she would have made the top 3.

the list of those who have not won the award is an impressive list, nearly every category of NCAA records is held by someone who didn't win the award
I wouldn't lose any sleep over who has won the award and who has not
