The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Jean van de Velde at Carnoustie. Would have been the first Frenchman to win the Open Championship since 1907. He needed only a double-bogey six to win. His tee shot was abysmal, his second shot was out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon and his third somehow managed to find a narrow strip of water. He actually took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his trousers and thought about hitting his ball out of the shin-deep water before taking a drop. He ended up with a 7, fell into a 3-way tie and lost the playoff.
