2016 MLB Season - Curses, foiled again?

Re: 2016 MLB Season - Curses, foiled again?

Jean van de Velde at Carnoustie. Would have been the first Frenchman to win the Open Championship since 1907. He needed only a double-bogey six to win. His tee shot was abysmal, his second shot was out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon and his third somehow managed to find a narrow strip of water. He actually took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his trousers and thought about hitting his ball out of the shin-deep water before taking a drop. He ended up with a 7, fell into a 3-way tie and lost the playoff.

The Washington Capitals have called a press conference for 10 AM on Friday to announce that Theo Epstein will be named Director of Hockey Operations.

Meh. Happy though for Cubs fans that have been through it thick and thin.

But still meh. ;)

Way to go Chicago.

I hope this doesn't mean I have to find a new team.

(It won't, but I kind of hate and absolutely love seeing this happen.)

Well if you want to know what it's like for a Red Sox fan to mate with a a Blackhawks fan, head to Wrigleyville next year.

Great series. Gutsy effort by the Cubs, who had to feel about as low as possible after the 8th.

I wish Ron Santo and Ernie Banks were alive to see this.
