Apparently he had a blister that his manager was worried would flare up.

Re: 2016 MLB Season - Curses, foiled again?

Here in Atlanta for work this week and the Braves have a home game so here I am at Turner Field. Such a nice ballpark with the exception of their section and seat numbering. Odd numbers are on the first base side, even numbers on the third base side. Seat numbering is left and right as there is a staircase that splits the section. I've had to move four times. I hope their nice new ballpark doesn't have those issues. Not sure why they're getting a new ballpark as this one is only 20 years old.

Maybe it has fewer seats - this game is only 1/3 full. I did enjoy the Waffle House concession though.

If you want a case study in political moves to grease politicians' own pockets, look into the Cobb County Stadium. Also see stadiums that are impossible to get to...

Hendricks is having a special night thru 7.1 innings.

And then Joe West goes full Joe West and ends up tossing Maddon

What did Maddon do in the first place to get Fat Joe riled?

What did Maddon do in the first place to get Fat Joe riled?

Asked his infielders to go talk to Hendricks...then came out for the pitching change.
Fat Joe tried to say he couldn't as the infielders counted as a visit so Hendricks had to pitch...then after he tossed him...allowed the change anyway.
West being West.

The 2017 major league schedule was released today. Of interest to college hockey fans who will be in Chicago is that the White Sox will host the Twins on Frozen Four weekend. The Cubs open the season on the road.

Not too far away though for fans who have the time off and want to cross off a few ballparks. Cubs start a mere six hours from home in St. Louis (April 3, 5, 6) and then play just an hour and a half north in Milwaukee (April 7-9).

Also, for those coming to town early, the White Sox open the season against the Tigers. Same schedule for both Cubs and Sox (3, off day, 5, 6; 7, 8, 9)
