2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Colgate up 2-0 on Mercyhurst in the second period, Harvard leads Northeastern 1-0, and the refs are reviewing a no-goal that would give Harvard a 2-0 lead

Both Colgate-Mercyhurst and Harvard-NU are streaming. Harvard is on ESPN3, and Colgate is live from their website. Mercyhurst just scored a PP goal to make it 2-1

HArvard up 2-0 on a power-play goal from Zarzecki, and D'Oench almost made it 3-0 but hit the cross-bar. Mercyhurst got two late to make it 2-2 after two periods.

BC wins 9-1 over PC, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Desbiens is only as good as BC's backup goalie and that BC's offense is definitely better.

I'll bite while I wait for the pies to cool before I put them in the fridge. You can't compare the 2 (well, you can, but that just indicates your levels of smarts). That was UW's first 2 games of the year playing across the country with the California distractions. I watched both games and UW at this point is a different team. BC is a well oiled machine right now. Keep telling yourself (and us) that your are not afraid of UW so you can sleep at night instead of breaking into cold sweats every few hours screaming ARD!

Oh come on. Lol

SOG MN 16 Mankato 11
Score MN 7 Mankato 0- 8 minutes into the 2nd period.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

UMD up on Harvard 3-2 with under eight minutes to play.

National anthem was played as instrumental by 2 acoustic guitars. I don't see how Wisconsin can lose.

after 1 period

Wis 1- Dartmouth 1

SOG 12-10 for Wisconsin. At this point, I'd say Wisconsin looks better, but Dartmouth looks pretty good, and I'd give them a shot.

2-1 Wisconsin after 2
34-14 SOG for Wisconsin
6 penalties for Dartmouth
3 for Wisconsin. A lot of penalties.
Wisconsin had Dartmouth completely overwhelmed, but Dartmouth is still trying hard.
Be nice if the refs let them play a little bit.

4-1 final for Wisconsin. Anybody's game until Sophia Shaver scored with 6 minutes to go. Shaver has been looking good. Wisconsin was losing their cool in the third period, hitting a lot after the whistle with a one goal lead in the third and it almost cost them.

Emily Clark scored with a few seconds to go. Pankowski is a major snipe, but a lot of the time Clark looks like their best player to me.

The ref Bradshaw called a tight game, yet after the whistle he and his partner let everything go, which just perpetuated the after whistle crap.

UW controlled the 2nd and 3rd periods. They had the better of the play in the first, but they allowed Dartmouth too easy O zone entry and that led to most of the shots, and the goal, off a rebound.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

MN 11- BSU 1 SOG 36-17 (though it appeared the scorekeeper fell asleep for long stretches)
Gopher 4th line got a workout yesterday. Perhaps the earliest I have seen them, about 1/2 through the 1st period. Most of the 3rd MN played 2 lines, 3 and 4. I'm not sure I have ever felt as sorry for an opponent. Mankato had a very young team last year but there were signs that they might get better. I believe they still have more freshmen this year but I didn't see anything to build with.
