When they finish second to the Gophers they can fondly remember their regular season defensive stand.
If they end up finishing second to the Gophers they will not have fond memories of two or three of them. :p

No, if that is the way it ends up (losing to them in the ncaa's - that's all that really matters) it will all be for naught and another bitter pill to swallow, not unlike the bitter pills the rodents had to swallow before this period of national rodent domination. But the ride will be fun, but unmemorable.

I disagree. I am not happy about those games, I'm sure I feel about those losses like you feel about the last couple of years but there are some great memories from those years & some great games that were a lot of fun to watch even when the wrong team won. If your only goal is the national championship you will be disappointed way more often than not - unless you are MN ;) The Badgers are a great team & you can't let the outcome of a single game take the joy of watching them play away from you. The wheel will turn

Gopher bravado aside, it's one thing to be known for your defensive prowess which Wisconsin is, but the streak is at a level now where it almost defies logic. 9 straight shutouts and counting means that there have been no misplays of the puck by the goalie that have gone the way of the opposition. No fortunate rebounds of shots that go to an opposing player for the easy tap in, either on a power play or not. Defensive miscues have all been covered up, either by back-checkers or the goalie making the save EVERY time. Heck, even the possible bad bounce off of one of your own player's body or skate is bound to happen once in a while.

Any metallurgy saves during the streak?
