2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Couldn't prove it from the results! BTW on the pre-game chat Frost mentioned #22 is hurt and has been for a bit, was held out of practice all week long. Did you know that? No clue, of course, what the nature of it is but said he was "just trying to get her through this weekend so she will have some time off." Maybe there is something other than "not clicking" happening?

That makes some sense. That line, or at least a portion of it, was on the ice for every North Dakota goal in the series. (The only one Brandt wasn't out for was Kohler's first tonight.) If Brandt's injured, along with Potomak out of the country, I can see why they were playing less than stellar defense.

Sorry Hannah, but I'm almost relieved to hear that, because she just hasn't been Brandt-like. It's another sign of just how special she is that she can average two points a game even when she isn't right.

Thats what I thought. I also thought maybe #100 was stuck in her mind and she was pressing along with the 'not clicking'. He made it seem like it was something a couple of weeks of rest will fix and for Hannah's sake I hope it is. I would guess she gets beaten up a little every game, they all do just in the normal flow the stars more so, so I'm more surprised she has not missed stretches in the past.

. . . I can see why they were playing less than stellar defense.
Meh, Personally I feel like I have seen several times where the D turned the wrong way or got themselves out maneuvered but got saved by forwards beating the puck carrier back on the rush. You have to have that if the D is going to be this aggressive and I what I have seen (small sample size, etc) I didn't complain about the Fs. Maybe they did something that left the D hung out, I'm not good enough to recognize it

Wow

I have no idea whatsoever how to rank the top 3 teams.

UW beat Bemidji, Bemidji beat the sue, the sue beat the rodents. UW1 Bemidji 2 Sue 3 Roents 4 :) So much for the wcha being sugary.

Most posters had UW 2 BC 3, so I suspect provided UW beats Mankato they will be 1 in most poster's eyes. I don't think what BC did this weekend makes them jump UW, though I had uconn ascending, but simply because of not really knowing who else was worthy. I will put UM 2 and BC 3.

This is what I was thinking. Mostly with UW it's the shutout streak.

Wisconsin up 4-0 after one period with goals by Channell, Shaver (shortie), Wellhausen and Burke.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Wisconsin maintains 4-0 lead over Mankato after 2. Mavericks actually had a couple of good looks that Desbiens denied.

Starting following internet stream this period. I realize that the announcers must be students and hockey isn't an easy call, but they literally didn't mention one Badger by name all period. Plus they never said the Mankato goalie by name. But it's free broadcast and the video quality is decent so it really doesn't matter.

Nice looking arena, too bad there aren't more than about 100 people there.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

The Wisconsin "No Goals Allowed" tour rolls along as the Badgers beat Mankato 7-0 for their 8th straight shutout.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

All 4 weekend games of RPI and Union at Cornell and Colgate go to overtime. Today RPI and Colgate tied 3-3 while Union and Cornell tied 2-2, so RPI comes away with three points on the weekend, Colgate and Union 2 each, Cornell 1 point. The RPI games against both Cornell and Colgate were very tough, evenly fought games. Union was badly outshot in both their games but salvaged two ties.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

BU with a very convincing win over Yale, 7-1.

After losing three in a row, that makes three consecutive wins.

The Terriers likely enjoyed being in a game where the other team was the one with the shaky goaltending.
