2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Not a lot of shots in the Clarkson/Harvard tilt. Only 10-9 HU with 5 minutes to go in the 2nd. Still 0-0 scorewise.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

UNH 2
UVM 0, after two.

Forster with first career goal, Toews with the second goal.

Gophers up 1-0 on Hannah Brandt's 100th goal, which came largely against the run of play. UND looks much better tonight, other than a stupid checking from behind major and game misconduct for Tanja Eisenschmidt. Minnesota wasted the five minute power play without getting any really good chances.

I thought UND did a really nice job on the kill. They're taking Brandt away for the most part and forcing the puck to go somewhere else. The 2nd PP unit misses Potomak a lot. Still, having to play essentially the entire game without Eisenschmid hurts UND when it is already w/o Krzyzaniak.

UNH 4
UVM 0

Carlson and Pelletier with third and fourth goals, Vaattovaara with 18 saves for the shutout.

1-1 in Grand Forks. UND really has had the better of the play.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Congrats to UNH on their first win of the season! With huge props to Toews, Forster and Pelletier on their first goals as Wildcats!! A big road win for the Cats.....🤓

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

UND is now up 2-1 on a goal that really should never have happened, as Dufault pretty blatantly checked McMillen off of the puck.

Edit: And as I hit "Submit", Dufault makes it 3-1. UND is playing very well, and the Gophers look awful in all phases of the game.

Clarkson 0 Hahvad 0 final

Quinnipiac 4 Brown 0
Brown has 3 shots on goal the entire game

Shots 17-7 in favor of NoDak in the 2nd, what the hell?
Gophers need a much better effort in the 3rd to even have a chance at a comeback. As Eyeore said above so far they've looked awful in all phases of the game.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Pannek converts her own rebound to make it 3-2. Gophers putting a lot of pressure on.

Edit: So much for that, as Amy Menke turns Baldwin inside out and finishes a breakway to make it 4-2.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Much better effort in the 3rd, but too little too late. 4-3 UND.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Wow

I have no idea whatsoever how to rank the top 3 teams.

I do. If BC and Wisconsin win tomorrow, I would move them up and Minn at 3. North Dakota is good and all teams will have an off night, but you can't hang on to #1 when two teams that are worthy of #1 haven't lost a game.

That and one of them has 7 shutouts in a row. Big wow.

Couldn't prove it from the results! BTW on the pre-game chat Frost mentioned #22 is hurt and has been for a bit, was held out of practice all week long. Did you know that? No clue, of course, what the nature of it is but said he was "just trying to get her through this weekend so she will have some time off." Maybe there is something other than "not clicking" happening?
