Just looked up the Yale roster from the past season on collegehockeystats.net. So what happened to Eddie Ardito? There was also a volunteer assistant named Chris Ardito. I thought he had a pretty good gig at St. Norbert's. Wonder why he's leave a head coach position to become an associate coach at Yale. More money? Missed the D1 game?

Now pete, you're not violating a confidence are you? After all this is not public knowledge yet. Did Coach Morgan share this info with you?

He has submitted his resignation letter to SNC, in it, he stated that he was going to Yale..
Job opening has been posted for a women's hockey coach..

Re: 2015-2016 Coaching Changes

Wonder if Amanda Trunzo (AG Asst - formerly at St Norbert) will be headed back to St. Norbert as HC (or possibly MSU, same locale, as an AC)?

As of June 11, Gustavas was looking for an assistant coach.

Hmm, no previous college experience as a coach or as a player?? Interesting choice. The candidate pool must be quite thin at this time of year because there's another announcement on this web site that Northland has hired Kelly Rider who has only one year of experience as a head coach at Neumann. Not the strongest choice IMHO.
The Ohio State choice makes perfect sense if you want to compete for MN recruits. I'd call it a brilliant hire. Northland on the other hand is a total head scratcher. Neumann was terrible during Rider's brief tenure. But this is just another in a long line of head scratching hires this offseason.

My first question after reading that release was, does he have a degree? Usually these press releases will say, "He played (or graduated) from St. Thomas University or Concordia University in St. Paul."
I know he didn't play at either one. This one simply says he was an attendee of both schools...

And usually the job postings will say minimum qualifications must include a bachelor's degree. This is an interesting one for sure, and definitely does NOT make total sense because of his lack of college playing or coaching experience and no bachelor's degree. My impression / best guess is she knew him from a previous working relationship.

I have no issues with the selection. He's a high school coach who may create some traction with Minnesota recruits. He will gain his experience as an assistant and his fitness training background should fit in well at OSU.

If a bachelor's degree was a requirement in the NHL, you would have player's coaching themselves!

I question the hire if he doesn't have a degree from a four year institution. If he does, I still question it. If she wanted an experienced evaluator and trainer she could have hired her husband.
This isn't the NHL, far far from it.

So many trolls questioning hires. It's like yeah, sure, the coaches being trusted with six-figure salaries must be clueless if someone says so through their keyboard.

Come on you guys...
