2014-2015 University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs Womens Hockey

Re: 2014-2015 University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs Womens Hockey

"Then again...who wouldn't want to get the h e l l out of drErie?"

What do you know about our town? So you may have been here in 2011 but i lived here all of my life and I like it here. 14 miles of waterfront, good fishing, skiing, sports, 90 minutes from Cleveland, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Nice people and a relatively low cost of living. Hell we are enjoying our waterfront and everything that goes with it before Minny is thawed.

And don't forget, hockey fans in Erie get to see the potential 2015 #1 overall NHL draft pick playing for your hometown Erie Otters (Connor McDavid for those who aren't aware)! We just ate at the Texas Roadhouse at the Peach Street exit earlier tonight on our way home from NY. We also attended the Frozen Four there in 2011 and had a great time! I understand Erie Insurance Arena is pretty nice now that the renovations have been completed.

I have been to Erie numerous times and have to say that it is a decent place. No better or worse than other cities its size in the US or Canada.

Presque Isle State Park is very nice, although pretty crowded July and August, and the ballpark is pretty nice for a minor league park. More generally, if you frequent and prefer rust belt cities with large swaths of rusting factories (or soon to be rusting in the case of GE Locomotive) and bitterly cold, long, ridiculously snowy winters then Erie is definitely a candidate city for you. If you don't, then there are VERY MANY nicer cities to live in or near.

Have someone drive by Sisti's home and check to see if there is a "For Sale" sign in his front yard! He has to be a front runner at UMD and OSU. My guess is that he will be the new head coach at one of those two schools and the announcement will be made this week.

Well it's been a week....

Late addition this past season to the 'Dogs' roster, Eviliina Suonpaa played in net today for Finland vs Team Canada at the Worlds and had an impressive outing. It was a close game during the first half and things started to unravel a bit for her later in the third period but all in all she played well.

Has anyone seen an updated Vegas line on the candidates? I got 5:1 on Sisti not being the choice.

Any takers?

I'm not going to take that bet because I think I agree with you. I see Sisti as a better choice for THE OSU. I think Crowell will get the job at UMD. Not sure if she would be wise to keep Schuler around. I don't think I would if I was in her shoes. I'd start with a clean slate.

I agree. The last thing they need is any semblance of Miller's shadow hanging over the program for several years.

Is it possible that UMD thought it had the bride it wanted but is now left, jilted at the alter with only the bridesmaids that it invited to it's wedding to be PC and has now realized that those two invitations were poorly considered and should note have been mailed to begin with?

Uhh. What?

I think I get the point you're trying to make (that UMD made an offer, had it turned down and is now stuck) but reading that confusing rundown gave me a headache.

Drove by yesterday and no for sale sign yet.

Part one of my prediction was spot on. Now we'll see if part two comes true when Crowell drops Schuler from the staff. She'd be crazy not to start with a completely new coaching staff. Part three of the prediction would be Sisti getting the OSU job.

I believe Shuler's contract was already not being renewed? Will not be the same as having to let her go for Crowell.
