My only complaint is, I have a long drive home after the Saturday games. Can we please not get that idiot Shepherd on those days? Three hour games have me exhausted by the time I make it.

Interesting article. I think there's a clear #1, and a clear #5 (although the gap is less between 4 and 5 than it is between 1 and 2), and throw a hat over the other 3.

That was a big weekend of hockey. Huge wins, and likely going to be the highest rated the Mavs have ever been this week. Now it needs to be pedal to the medal. They cannot lose a game to LSSU.

4 really good games in a row for our goalie, Stephon! 3 or less goals in his last 10!
If he keeps that up for the rest of the season you have to like the Mavs chances to win all of them, no matter who they play.
Any word on Jutzi is coming back after the semester?

Everything I've heard on Jutzi is that the door is closed.
What another huge weekend. 10 wins and it's still November. Crazy how far this program has come, and how nice that is. Left no doubt about who he better team was all weekend.

I'm hoping to sneak a look at one of the Alaska games, although my girlfriend is probably sick of me watching hockey at this point. "You at least won't spend an hour and a half writing about it afterwards, will you?" Heh. What I saw of the Mavs in the UAH series did not dim my opinion of their play one iota. I expected them to be #1 this year, and they've proven up to that. Here's to good grades and no injuries.

Out of respect for him, I can't elaborate much, but it was a personal situation that he had to get worked out, and I think the door was closed right away. It isn't a grade issue, and he really is a good kid. Just had something that had to be taken care of, and I don't think it could be as a member of the hockey team.

I enjoy seeing the WCHA teams up top, but having talked with Hastings a bit, it's nice to see people that I feel like I know a little doing very well. Congrats on #2 — go make it #1!

1. Watch the Friday game vs NMU if you want to get a feel for how they look IF they play a decent all-around game.
2. …watch the Friday game vs BSU if you want to see what they look like when they come out flat.
3. …watch the Saturday game vs BGSU if you want to see what they look like when goaltending fails us.
4. …watch the Saturday game vs NMU if you want to see what they look like when they play without discipline (but really, the refs should get half a point for that game).
