Holy balls. You won't hear this often, but by placing that ball at the 3/4-yard-line, he gave Alabama a generous as hell spot.

Same as forward progress. If a runner crosses the first down marker, you can't pick him up and carry him back behind the line. He's down at the spot he was first touched.

It's similar to holding for a safety. It's where contact initiated on the hold not where the final hold occurred.

A Pac 12-Big 10 Championship Game. It's an East Coast sportswriter's nightmare.

I love me some pure rose bowl. I thought it should have been OSU and Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

I love me Sportswriter's, especially from the South, going "but the Pac 12 and Big 10 were weak this year!" (Like they think every year) "what happened?!?"
