They may have had Watson at QB, but Stoudt started the game. Clemson should have won that game if not for multiple missed field goals (including a 23 yarder), and bad snaps (1st and Goal from the 1 became 4th and Goal from the 23 (and a subsequent missed field goal). It also didn't help that Clemson fumbled the ball at the FSU 20 in the waning seconds of regulation of a tie game.
Clemson is a decent team (FWIW, I am a Clemson fan), and a borderline Top 25 team with Watson. They outplayed the Criminoles that night, but miscues killed them. That should actually tell you everything you need to know about Crim U this year. They will likely go undefeated, and given that they play in a power 5 conference that should be enough to get to the Playoff. However, I certainly don't think they are a top 4 team in the country.
