2013 WCHA Final Five: end of hockey's great tournament

Re: 2013 WCHA Final Five: end of hockey's great tournament

Why is Wisconsin's biggest fan some dude in his 80s? He probably goes home after the game and watches reruns of Golden Girls.

Dude, it's been 40 years since the Badger's first NCAA title. Someday you'll have grown up fans too. :p

Re: 2013 WCHA Final Five: end of hockey's great tournament

My ticket package had a flyer in it for next year's B1G tourney that said no beer will be sold in the lower bowl, just in the club section and the arena bars but said nothing about this year's tourney.
No booze to the peons in the LL - yet another reason to HATE the B1G.

wonder if that means the B1G will actually pay attention to who goes to the Club Level...one of the better things about the final five is no one cares so you can check out alot more of the rink than you could for a wild game.

Yep. Despite having the cheapest of seats for most of my F5s (a couple games I had lower corner), I've sat in just about every level at the X.

What do people postulate will be the minimum charge for a LL ticket to the B1G tourney at the X (I say "officially" to discount the scalpers)? I'm guessing LL seats will be $70 just because the B1G logo will be on the dasherboards.

I think that if they push beyond a $120 to $150 for a three game package will price many fans out of the LL tickets. That is about what they currently charge for the F5 and should be doable for the B1G. Time will tell if that price level is sustainable if the demand for non-gopher games is nonexistant and kills the secondary market values because you can normally get ~75% of face for the non-gopher semi-final game

Good. Screw those guys. I'll be at Target Center getting boozed up! :)

Go ahead and pay $10 for a beer. We'll get hamboned for cheaper pre-game, and stay that way for the game, until the post-game bar-time. Silly SCSU fans.

Yeah...we'll still be in St. Paul on Thursdays. Our tournament is only Friday/Saturday. :)

Because we'll still be getting drunk with you guys the day before. :)

And that day's drunkeness will carry over until the next game(s) w/o buying more booze? Ok fair point. But still.....;)

There are positives and negatives to being in Minneapolis. Yeah there's nowhere to tailgate. But there are infinitely more places to go between games. And I hear the brunch at Rick's Cabaret is awesome. ;)

They do have good food and dessert ;)

Rick's is one of the few places in the Twin Cities I've never been to. When I still lived in Plymouth I went down there once in a while and was a Deja Vu/Dreamgirls kinda guy. Being way down here now it's just King of Diamonds because it's like 15 minutes from my house. ;)

I have to say K o D is my fav of all of the strip clubs.

Seems like every girl there goes to either Saint Thomas or Concordia - they are good schools ;)

Oh oh oh oh can I please pay $20 for someone to pretend to like me?!?!?! If that were the case, I'd have much better looking ladies to do that. Boo the naughty bars.
