2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

The Open at Muirfield begins in 8 hours, I believe (Is eastern 5 hours behind? Not 100% sure what time zone Muirfield is in). Sounds like it will be playing fast, firm and furious. Who do y'all like?

Yeah, my alarm is set for 2:55 AM. The Open is worth getting up for.

Who lit a fire under Mark O'Meara's ***? -5 after 9!

(for the record, he's tied for the lead with Zach Johnson, but Johnson is almost finished with his round)

O'Meara did very well the last time at Muirfield in '02, but definitely a surprise. We'll see if he can keep it going on the back 9.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Happy to see Tom Lehman up near the top. I had been a fan of his in the past and really wanted to see him get a US Open (I think he had been in the final pairing a couple of times in just a few years but never could get it done). I always liked his GIR ability (he was always at or near the top of that stat for a while) as its one of the things I have always wanted to get better at myself. Hope to see him at least stay near the top. Lots of big names way down at the bottom too. Kind of surprised about a few of them.

Meanwhile Rory McIlroy played a back 9 that I would be proud of -- 42. He even putted one into a bunker.

He needs to get his head screwed on straight. Those Nike $$ have sent his game to dufferville.

It's always interesting to see unfamiliar names at the top of the board on Thursday and even Friday. Then the weekend hits.

I saw the putt into the bunker...made me feel better about my putting the other day.

You're telling me you didn't start Shiv Kapur and Rafael Cabrera Bello in your Fantasy Golf this weekend? Amateur. :p:D:D

Scotland is so awesome. I want to go back.

Miguel Angel Jimenez is also awesome. :p

two different golf courses today between this morning and this afternoon.

I would say there have been 4 different golf courses between yesterday morning and this afternoon...probably a slight advantage to the players that got the early/late draw for tee times.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Raise your hand if you had Miguel Angel Jimenez and Angel Cabrera at the top of the leaderboard after 36. Anyone? Imagine the amounts of tobacco smoked in that pairing tomorrow. (if they are indeed paired together, still some time left)

I follow John Huh a little bit, played last 5 at 6 over and missed the cut. I knew that late tee time would hurt him but I thought he was ok until the bottom completely came out.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Tiger has to overcome a 2 shot deficit to win. He is paired with Adam Scott, with Stevie Williams looping for Scott. As if he needed some additional motivation.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

It would be nice for Westwood to finally get one. Dude has been in the top 5 of majors like 9 times. But he will need a heck of a finish.

What the hell happened?? I left the house for an hour, get back and the leaderboard is all changed up
