2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Sergio reaches double digits at the 15th, carding a 10.

It does appear that there could be a mid 60's round put up today, maybe more than once. Several players putting up birdies early. Get 'em while you can guys, because all hell breaks loose tomorrow I imagine.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Michael Kim, a 19 year old amateur, is just 2 shots back and playing the tournament at even par thus far. Could we see him in the running tomorrow afternoon coming down the stretch?

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Heck of a bird by Phil there to retake the lead. He hit a spectacular tee shot on 17

I had to work today (and tomorrow  ) and got home when the last group still had a few holes to play. Hopefully I will be home in time tomorrow to see the last few groups finish as well.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Agreed. Stricker or Mickelson. If one of those two win, I'll be pleased.

I think most people would like to see Phil do it. Personally, I'd like to see Rose make some magic happen tomorrow. Started his career pretty promising, disappeared for a while, but this year he has been looking really good. Should be a very entertaining day tomorrow (and maybe Monday as well, if we're lucky!)

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Hm, off to an 11:22 tee time. If I'm lucky, all the Dad's will be staying at home watching golf instead of playing golf, and I can get back home in time to watch the leaders tee off!

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Has anyone posted a final score of +5 or better? If not, that score might put you in the thick of things.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

quite the shot by lefty puts him back in the lead

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

With only a few holes to play, baring a major meltdown by all four of them, it will be Rose, Mahan, Mickelson, or Day for the win. And as I type this Rose with a bogey. No one is at par or better.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

I think Mickelson almost just hit his caddy with that chip.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

All kinds of crazy stuff going on. Day should finish +2. Mahan and Mickelson both drop a shot now at +3 and +2 resectively and have just started 16. Rose starting the 18th at +1. His tee shot is in the fairway.

Edit: Day lips out the put. Finishes +3. Anything can happen though...

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

You know...I'd love to see a tournament where the caddies are the ones who play.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Rose finishes at +1. Mickelson will have to birdie 17 or 18 to tie. If I recall correcttly what they said earlier, no one has biridied 18 this weekend.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Boy Mahan has sucked the last few holes

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Phil needs to birdie the 18th, with no driver, on a hole that has not been birdied the past 2 days. If not Phil, I do like seeing Rose finally getting a major. Class act.

Phil pulls it left into the rough, but it appears to be a decent lie.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

After that tee shot Phil will need a heck of a 2nd shot. Its sitting "decent" I guess you could call it. But lets be honest here. In this rough I doubt there is such a thing as a decent lie.
