Re: 2013 DI BCS Thread: Thorthu Thame ish bacth!

I'll ready see certain NFL fans on the Twitter (Raiders, Jags) starting a "Winless for Winston" campaign.

Well, they can feel free to win the Super Bowl this year and/or next, as Winston isn't going to be available (at the earliest) until the 2016 draft. :p:D:D

Just to be safe, they should go winless until he graduates... :D

Can I enjoy just one week of blind optimism that reaches fantasy levels? As a Jags fan, I feel I deserve that... I can start that kind of nonsense in Week 2 :p

Trust me, Bills fans deserve a little more. :D Some of my fellow Bills fans are already screaming we drafted the wrong FSU QB.

Besides, we can get Teddy Bridgewater.

Iowa has them on in 2016. Not holding my breath at this point.

I'm actually somewhat optimistic Iowa can find a way to win 6 this year. It's sad that Iowa is now I'm a position where I call that success.
You're approaching Gopher Fan territory.

I'd call that delusional, not optimistic. I see 3 or 4 wins for the Stinkeyes. At least you have Purdue and Minnesota on your schedule so 2 possible B1G wins. :p

While NIU is a MAC school, and Iowa should've won that game, they showed huge improvements compared to last year's squad. They get MSU, Northwestern, Michigan, and Wisconsin all at home. I think they can get through that 2-2 at the minimum.

Wins: Missouri State, ISU, WMU, Purdue, MSU, UW. There's six with a loss to MN.

I'll take six this year but they better win at least 8 next year, especially with their soft schedule.

The ISU game is their make or break game. Win that, should be 3-1 heading into B1G play. 3-5 in the B1G is definitely doable. Hell 4-4 is.

They will be lucky to win one of those games given their recent drop in dominance at Kinnick and I don't say that from hate at all. MSU and UMi are better teams on paper without question, and NW and UW are two of the best teams in the conference.

And no I am not predicting much for the Gophers either in conference.

YIkes. WKU commits turnovers on 5 consecutive plays from scrimmage, all in the first quarter (vs. Tennessee). This is going to be ugly.

edit: oops, commentators corrected themselves. There was one non-turnover play in there, so only 5 of 6 plays. Either way, still 31-3 at the start of the 2nd quarter.

On behalf of the University of Maine, I would like to thank UMass Amherst for its generous donation to Black Bear Football. Oh, and we'll take the 24-14 win as well. Just be glad Maine didn't embarrass you with a late TD to run up the score. When can we play again?
