I have this beautiful 1995 MN Gopher Rose Bowl Trophy to sell you.

What was the spread again? And yes, I fully understand spreads are created to induce betting which still supports the reality the win was a surprise.

NDSU are a bunch of bums and crooks and their DUI of a coach lets them do whatever the hell they want. But they are a very good team. And please kill me. Having to live in this stinktown after this game, just kill me.

The real hard part now is that NDSU just got more ESPN coverage with their upset in F-ball than the Sioux have gotten for hockey. Pretty much ever, combined, on ESPN SC.

That's just kicking someone while they are down :p

There's your problem. Any type of football > college hockey per ESPN handbook.

Ohio State either A) has no field goal kicker (or no faith in him) or B) just wants to run up the score even more. They have scored twice and gone for, and gotten, the two point conversion after each.

I saw that... I wouldn't put it past Urban to run it up like that against Buffalo....

Isn't this a great chance to practice the Two point conversion against an unsuspecting D in case OSU needs to run it later in the season?

Realistically, I recogize that AppSt's upset was about 10-50x the SC coverage than hockey here in Ann Arbor.

But now, I was just rubbing it in to Sioux fans.

I can relate- not that my school is that special in anything, but BSU is such a horrific school, and they are constanlty on TV. ugh.

On that note- it will be interesting to see the Paul Petrino era start at Idaho. So far, there's a lot of the right messages coming out of Moscow. Alas, that also happened under Akey.

As if we didn't already know this, but Manziel is the poster child for spoiled rich kids.

Well, here's the talking point for the upcoming week:

With Georgia having been featured on Gameday today and looking at next week's schedule, I'm thinking Gameday will be in Ann Arbor. Last meeting scheduled between the two at the Big House (as of right now). I know ND decided to end the series.

I think we found our winner of the first class A-Wad Award for this week.

This, plus:

1. If you're ever going to go for two in this type of match-up, you have to do it when the score is close -- and the earlier the better. Wait until you have a big 4th Quarter lead, and you ARE running up the score. Not so on the first two touchdowns, particularly when scored in the first quarter.

2. It was pretty clear that the two point conversions were scripted in advance, and weren't a response to anything that happened on the field. Still, it's not self-evident that the two pointers were fair game. But if you're committed to doing "test runs," this is probably the least offensive way to do it.

3. Run the conversions successfully, and you force future opponents to prepare for it. So even if you never run them again for the rest of the season, there's a payoff. That mission was accomplished.

As far as I'm concerned, there was nothing wrong with the calls.

Well, my bet on the over at 71.5 for the Clemson-Georgia matchup appears to be headed towards a win. Now, if the Tigers could just score the next 38 points and win 52-21, I would be thrilled. :p:D:D

Eastern Washington beats #25 Oregon State.
McNeese State is whipping South Florida as well.

Eastern Washington is a good football team, but I certainly didn't expect them to beat Oregon State...upset of the weekend so far.

Clemson-Georgia knotted up at 21 at half. Both teams have taken turns controlling the game, and a tie score is probably the correct result through 30 minutes. Georgia gets the ball to start the 2nd half.
