2013-14 Schedules Thread

Re: 2013-14 Schedules Thread

From the SLU website, here is the Saints' schedule for 2013-2014:

May 10: St. Lawrence University's 2013-14 men's hockey schedule will include teams from the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference, the reconstituted Western Collegiate Hockey Association and a set of teams from Hockey East in addition to its regular Eastern College Athletic Conference schedule.

The Saints, who will open the season with an exhibition game at Appleton Arena against Carleton University of Ottawa on Oct. 7 will host the University of Maine on Oct. 11-12 as part of Homecoming and Hall of Fame weekends to kick off the NCAA portion of the schedule.

The Saints will then play two at new WCHA member Ferris State on Oct. 18-19 and close out the first month of competition with Northeastern at Appleton for two on the 25th and 26th.

A four-game road trip opens league play for the Saints as they will open ECAC competition at defending national champion Yale on Nov. 1 and play at Brown on Nov. 2. They are at Harvard and Dartmouth Nov. 8-9 before hosting Cornell and Colgate on Nov. 15-16. The Saints will close November with two games at RIT on Nov. 22-23 and play a pair at NCHC member North Dakota, which finished the 2012-13 season ranked seventh nationally, on Nov. 29-30.

League play resumes on Dec. 7 with the first of two games against arch-rival Clarkson and a Dec. 14 game at Vermont closes out the 2013 portion of the schedule. Vermont returns to Appleton Arena on Jan. 7 to start the new year and the rematch with Clarkson in Potsdam is scheduled for Jan. 11.

Brown and Yale visit Appleton on Jan. 17-18, the Saints are at Colgate and Cornell on Jan. 24 and 25. Union plays in Canton on Jan. 31 and RPI Feb. 1 with a road trip to Quinnipiac and Princeton following on Feb. 7-8. Dartmouth and Harvard are in Canton on Feb. 14-15 and the Saints are at RPI and Union on Feb. 21-22. The regular season concludes with Princeton at home on Feb. 28 and Quinnipiac on Mar. 1.

Merrimack/Mercyhurst was originally scheduled for October 25/26, however everything else looks open thus far, so I am certainly willing to move this to the info you have. This will complete UA_'s schedule.

I wonder if you will be playing UCONN on November 2nd, and then both Bentley and UCONN will play an AHA East foe for the "third game" on the opposite day, possibly AIC or Army (SHU and Holy Cross are already playing each other that week).

There's a discrepancy here. You say no game on Dec 7th, then move Northeastern at home to January 7th. However, Dec 7th you have Northeastern away. Is Dec 6th becoming the away game?

Interesting that there will not be a third game with Clarkson; but given what is a pretty tough non-conference schedule there isn't room. Clarkson's schedule looks tougher than last year too (although there are still 2 unknowns & the other teams in Vermont's tournament are unknown)

The Alaska schedule is up on their website and it has us hosting Mercyhurst Oct 25/26.

Dartmouth Schedule is Up: http://www.dartmouthsports.com/Spor...&SPID=4728&DB_OEM_ID=11600&KEY=&Q_SEASON=2013

Non-Conference Games:

Liberty Invitational (Brown/Yale/Princeton)
Ledyard Tournament (Northeastern/Airforce/??? (currently has Northeastern listed as playing two games in one day but I suspect this is a typo/they haven't decided matchups for those games yet
1-4: @Vermont
1-8: @BU
1-11: UNH in Manchester

Discrepancy: Yale's playing Vermont that day.

Re: 2013-14 Schedules Thread

Discrepancy: Yale's playing Vermont that day.

I'd guess our schedule is wrong then given some other obvious errors (the Northeastern games, both Harvard games in Cambridge) though we're probably playing Vermont at some point.

Re: 2013-14 Schedules Thread

The Frozen Fenway games are forcing changes to the schedules in that league games are being made of some if not all of them. Some minor adjustments to the Hockey East schedules are being made as Hockey East has removed the release from it's website in which they posted the conference schedule.

Re: 2013-14 Schedules Thread

OK, here are the current discrepancies that I have:

Boston College/Notre Dame: Three games are "scheduled", but that placed Notre Dame at 35 games. Frozen Fenway MUST be a league game if it happens; the date of the other league game is TBD.
Holy Cross/Army: The third game is scheduled for both November 8th by Army and November 9th by HC. Only one is correct.
Yale/Dartmouth/Vermont: Both Yale and Dartmouth are scheduling to play at Vermont on January 4th.
Frozen Fenway Games: Some are possibly becoming in-conference games.

Not a discrepancy:
Dartmouth/Harvard: Although both games are stated to be in Cambridge, the first matchup is denoted to be a home game for Dartmouth. I'm going to make an assumption that this first game is at home for Dartmouth, while the second is home for Harvard.
UA_/Merrimack/Mercyhurst/Army: Alaska states they are hosting Mercyhurst on October 25th/26th, while Merrimack states they are hosting UA_ on the same weekend, and previously Mercyhurst and Merrimack were stated to be playing each other that weekend, but that was moved to the weekend before. Now, Army is stating that they're playing Merrimack. I believe this to be correct, and would fit if UA_ is announcing they have Mercyhurst at home. We'll plug all of that in.

If you haven't seen it, they've fixed it and you were right on the money.
