GO BOBCATS!!
Re: 2013-14 Quinnipiac Bobcats: New season, new scoreboards, new chance at redemption
The "infomercial" is a bit much, but you're right: Quinnipiac buys the airtime, they can do what they want with it. And as a sports-loving alum, it's really awesome to see the school pushing its athletic programs the way Quinnipiac does.
As for the game, my goodness. That second Providence goal. What in the world was Sam Anas thinking? You can not throw that pass to that spot like that. He's a freshman, so maybe that's the kind of thing you can get away with in Juniors. But, you're not getting away with that play at this level. Just a total brainfart.
I've said it a number of times, the team-wide skill on this Quinnipiac team is incredible. I think they're better offensively this season than they were last season. And they were pretty darn good last season. When they shore up their defense to where it was a few weeks ago, this team is going to be very, very, very difficult to beat.
Do those Thanksgiving wishes go to non-Bobcat fans as well???
Got to watch on TV. An impressive performance and I thought you outplayed the Friars for the majority of the game. Difference in the game was Gillies in net for PC. The one thing I didn't enjoy about the broadcast is I am assuming just like on NESN games it is Quinnipiac buying the air time as opposed to SNY wanting to broadcast the game. As such...the "infomercial" for what makes Q Pac so "special" during the Intermission made me want to puke. Just sayin'!!!! But I suppose that is how/why you are getting all the recruits and players you are as no other ECAC school markets their program or spends money to market it like you guys do. I guess that is to your credit....but if they can lay off talking about the Quinnipiac "brand" so much I might be able to tolerate the broadcasts.
Happy Thanksgiving anyway Mark and if you have an extra goalie you can send our way we'll take him. (We need one badly at the moment.)
