nice for the nfl to insure NJ residents get to feel good about themselves post-sandy with the giants victory today.

It was a good day for my fantasy team. ARodge, Doug Martin, Brandon Marshall and Bears D had pretty good days. I have about 150 points with Julio Jones and LeSean McCoy still left to play.

A combination of bad teams (.409 Opp Win %) and the Bears defense (7 returned TDs) is covering up an offense that isn't that productive when it comes to TDs. Makes me nervous that when the playoffs roll around they will be 1 and done.

The only thing I dislike about a tie game in the NFL is that it brings with it the distinct possibility that the NFL will do something stupid to try to eliminate ties. I have an irrational fear that the NFL is stupid enough to implement something as awful as the NCAA OT format.

Whoa whoa whoa. I like the college football format. Now, a friend had mentioned that it should start at the 40-50 yd line, due to the K's talents....I agree. I'd be fine with starting at the 50. But this hybrid crap that the NFL has is horrid.

How is the NFL format a "hybrid"? The NCAA format is the one that changes a ton of rules and gets all gimmicky.

In my book, NCAA football OT is barely better than a shoot out in hockey.

The "unless the first possession is a TD" part. BOTH teams should get a chance to score no matter what, or it should revert back to true sudden death.

The CFL uses the NCAA OT, but if it's tied after 3(?) OT's that's it, they call it a tie. I wish the NCAA did that, too. There is a safety and health issue with too many OT's.

The Ginger and HOU K help me in my main league, while HOU bookends are helping me crush in the USCHO league. :D

Trade one. Unless you've tried every week unsuccessfully there is no reason to hang onto two 1st string QBs in FF.

We've hit the trade deadline. I picked up Schaub 4 weeks ago as he was on waivers. Figured it wouldn't hurt in case Brees went down. 9 weeks out of 10, Brees is the clear choice. This just happened to be the 1 week. Unfortunately, unless Jennings has a hell of a game, it'll cost me.

Up ~40 points, I have Vernon Davis going tonight, my opponent has Frank Gore and the Bears D. Hopefully it won't be a nailbiter.
