Theres worse out there. Those Red Sox announcers are obnoxious and the sad part is I don't think they even know they are. I'm sure Hawk knows he rubs people the wrong way, but doesn't care.

The worst is that stupid Canuck Johnny Boy Sterling and his assinine nicknames. Probably the only Canadian who wasn't smart enough to grasp Hockey.

You have to go back a ways, but John Sterling did the radio PxP for the Islanders. His signature call....
ISLANDER GOAL!!! (repeat 2x in as loud a voice as you can manage)

From 1975 through 1980, Sterling announced Nets and Islanders games for WMCA, WVNJ, WOR-TV, and SportsChannel.

And that title was taken from us Saints fans... or maybe we just gave it up willingly. ;) At the Buffalo/Pittsburgh game now. Should see a good game tonight (if I can focus on the game and not the Jills!!)

Post Gameday Edit: OK... that happened. Not nearly as good a game as I had anticipated, but what can one expect from a preseason contest. Gonna be a LONG season if the officals don't settle-out their issues though. As for the Jills... can't say from the sharty seats we had (sec 335). Kids enjoyed it, so I am content. Now gimme a couch, high-def plasma, a few beers, and I'm happy for the rest of the season.

The Jills aren't that good looking but sadly more entertaining than the team playing on that field.
