Hardly; Fischler goes out of his way to pretend that the Devils and the Islanders are also important. Al Trautwig, maybe.

I don't think Stan's being going out of his for anything for a while. Certainly not for a shower.

When Stan was relevant he was all Rangers all the time, but that's unfair since the last time Stan was relevant the Islanders and Devils didn't exist yet. But it is true that the sole thing Stan has been interested in during his life is Stan.

Not true; in fact, in addition to hockey, Fischler has published six books about public transit in the NY metropolitan area.

I was a Ranger fan and listened to Marv and the Big Whistle. If it was on WOR regardless of who was playing, I watched.

I'm thinking of radio. IIRC the Isles were on WNEW (?) in the 70's.

The Jets cut seven players Friday night to get down to the mandatory 53-man roster. The list included RB Terrance Ganaway, who scored their only touchdown of the preseason.

Michael Strahan is Regis Philbin's replacement on the daily chick show. Fox's NFL Sunday pregame show could be really fun for the first 10-15 minutes it's on the air this Sunday.
